I upholstered the chairs in Lee Jofa wool and purchased an antique hand embroidered kimono, then deconstructed to create the back panels to these dining room chairs. I believe that levity is an element that should exist in every home. In this instance, the Murano handblown glass Cranes are caught mid-migration walking across the deco dining room table.

リビングルームとは上吊りソフトモーションの格子戸で区切る設計としています。普段は開けていることが多いので両引き分け戸とし壁の中に格納することで埃が付きにくいよう配慮しました。上吊りなので下部にレールが無く無駄な掃除箇所を無くしました。無垢材を加工した格子戸ですので相当な重量が有りますが吊り形式なので開閉も大変楽です。

This 1990s brick home had decent square footage and a massive front yard, but no way to enjoy it. Each room needed an update, so the entire house was renovated and remodeled, and an addition was put on over the existing garage to create a symmetrical front. The old brown brick was painted a distressed white. The 500sf 2nd floor addition includes 2 new bedrooms for their teen children, and the 12'x30' front porch lanai with standing seam metal roof is a nod to the homeowners' love for the Islands. Each room is beautifully appointed with large windows, wood floors, white walls, white bead board ceilings, glass doors and knobs, and interior wood details reminiscent of Hawaiian plantation architecture. The kitchen was remodeled to increase width and flow, and a new laundry / mudroom was added in the back of the existing garage. The master bath was completely remodeled. The dining room was simplified and updated with fresh paint. New rugs were layered to add interest, while the ceiling paper and new lighting are the highlight of the room.

The ambience of this cliff top property is purposely designed with pure living comfort in mind while it is also a perfect sanctuary for entertaining a large party. The luxurious kitchen has amenities that reign in harmony with contemporary Balinese decor, and it flows into the open stylish dining area. Dynamic traditional Balinese ceiling juxtaposes complement the great entertaining room that already has a highly decorative full-size bar, compelling wall bar table, and beautiful custom window frames. Various vintage furniture styles are incorporated throughout to represent the rich Balinese cultural heritage ranging from the primitive folk style to the Dutch Colonial and the Chinese styles.
