SINGER BIEDER ArchitectureLorsque les clients ont acheté cette vaste maison pavillonnaire typique des années 70, elle était dans un état relativement correct. Cependant, elle manquait cruellement de charme. La pièce de vie, d’une taille considérable, était si peu aménagée que certaines parties en étaient délaissées. De plus, la véranda récemment ajoutée n’avait aucune fonctionnalité et était
simplement un espace supplémentaire inexploité.
Le premier défi du projet consistait à insuffler une âme chaleureuse à cette maison moderne. Pour y parvenir, il a été nécessaire d’attribuer un programme et une fonctionnalité à chaque espace.
Le deuxième défi auquel nous avons été confrontés était la contrainte temporelle du projet. Il était impératif pour les clients de pouvoir emménager dans la maison seulement cinq mois après le début des travaux. Pour répondre à cette exigence, nous avons proposé une approche par phases. La phase 1 a regroupé les trois étages essentiels de la maison, à savoir le rez-de-chaussée, le premier et le deuxième étage. La phase 2 a concerné la refonte totale du sous-sol de 120 m2, comprenant l’ancien garage. Enfin, la phase 3, dont les travaux se terminent en septembre 2023, concerne l'aménagement extérieur (piscine, pool house, espace brasero).
Innovative Design BuildOur clients dreamed of a sunroom that had a lot of natural light and that was open into the main house. A red brick floor and fireplace make this room an extension of the main living area and keeps everything flowing together, like it's always been there.

down2earth Interior Design, LLC.With limited travel options available during the pandemic, everyone is spending lots more time at home. Many are even looking for ways to incorporate interior design elements from their favorite destinations into their spaces: this lets you feel like you’re traveling, even when you’re not. This project was my own personal quarantine design dream: to create an interior scheme for my sunroom that captures the color, joy and exuberance of those brilliant indoor/outdoor spaces you find in Mexico. My sunroom is filled with sunshine, and sunshine makes my kids think of two beach vacations we took to Cancun. Since we couldn't take them there, or anywhere, I decided to bring a little bit of Mexico home.
As a backdrop, I embraced our floor to ceiling windows, great white wood paneled walls, and terra cotta floor tile, and added a soothing blue green paint to the beadboard ceiling, which to me is the color of a pool (Sherwin Williams Waterfall).
The gold dresser was trash picked and refinished in a beautiful gold color called Gold Coast from Sherwin Williams. Original handles had a Spanish feel, but new bronze knobs were in order to continue the look on the smaller drawers up top. a glass top protects the horizontal surface. Colorful vases, art, and picture frames complete the vignette.
Sky Architect StudioThe attic living space on the top level allowing sweeping views through large windows. Internally, an illusion of greater space has been created via high ceilings, extensive glazing, a bespoke central floating staircase and a restrained palette of natural colours and materials, including timber and marble.
Tradition Outdoor LivingOur clients desired a sunroom addition to their home, allowing them to enjoy the natural light and scenery of their backyard with the option of staying indoors. This sunroom was built to look original to the home, with a hip roof and matching trim. An extra wide door to the back patio provides ample room to move patio furniture outside. This space is fitted with an extending TV mounted above an electric fireplace. Gorgeous unstained tongue and groove ceilings and travertine-looking ceramic tile complement our clients' vintage décor. Ideal for sipping morning coffee or evening tea, the recessed lighting calmly illuminates this space.
The exterior side of the sunroom extends a pergola with a concrete slab. In addition, the perfect niche was created by transformation of the breezeway. This enclosed area is completed with a window and door accessing the side yard, while providing a secluded sitting area just outside the dining room.
Schroeder Design/Build, Inc.The interior finishes were purposely designed to match and blend with the home’s other rooms, utilizing luxury vinyl plank (LVP) waterproof flooring in gray with anti-microbial coating, neutral paint colors, matching baseboards, crown molding, interior doors, and millwork.
Braswell Design+BuildEight windows, vaulted ceilings with recessed lighting, and a gas fireplace make this elegant sunroom bright and cozy.
