We developed a design utilizing organic materials to deliver a Master Bathroom that fulfilled the homeowners wishes of capturing the essence of a memorable vacation retreat. The subtle shine of the polished tile contrasts beautifully with the rich color of the Cherrywood cabinets and the salvaged Teak* wood slats; these elements when intermingled with the bold matte black finishes bring about the perfect balance, creating an inviting retreat after a long day. *Teak slats: sourced from vintage buildings in Southeast Asia

123 Remodeling’s design-build team gave this bathroom in Bucktown (Chicago, IL) a facelift by installing new tile, mirrors, light fixtures, and a new countertop. We reused the existing vanity, shower fixtures, faucets, and toilet that were all in good condition. We incorporated a beautiful blue blended tile as an accent wall to pop against the rest of the neutral tiles. Lastly, we added a shower bench and a sliding glass shower door giving this client the coastal bathroom of their dreams.

Our Pretty in Pink ensuite is a result of what you can create from dead space within a home. Previously, this small space was part of an under utilised master bedroom sun room & hall way cupboard. The brief for this ensuite was to create a trendy bathroom that was soft with a splash of colour that worked cohesively with the grey and blue tonings seen throughout the 60’s home. The challenge was to take a space with no existing plumbing, and an angled wall, and transform it into a beautiful ensuite. Before we could look at the colours and finishes, careful planning was done in conjunction with the plumber and architect for consent. We meticulously worked through the aesthetics of the room by starting with the selection of Grey & White tiles, creating a timeless base to the scheme. The custom-made vanity and the Resene Wafer wall give the space a pop of colour, while the stone top and soft grey basin break up the black tapware.

Two small spaces were combined to create one substantial children’s bathroom. Per the client’s request, two wall-mounted sinks were preferred over a traditional vanity setup. A large marble bench and side cabinet provide plenty of storage. The floating tub was integrated within the shower to create a dedicated wet area. Our design studio fully renovated this beautiful 1980s home. We divided the large living room into dining and living areas with a shared, updated fireplace. The original formal dining room became a bright and fun family room. The kitchen got sophisticated new cabinets, colors, and an amazing quartz backsplash. In the bathroom, we added wooden cabinets and replaced the bulky tub-shower combo with a gorgeous freestanding tub and sleek black-tiled shower area. We also upgraded the den with comfortable minimalist furniture and a study table for the kids. ---Project designed by Montecito interior designer Margarita Bravo.
