This 6,000sf luxurious custom new construction 5-bedroom, 4-bath home combines elements of open-concept design with traditional, formal spaces, as well. Tall windows, large openings to the back yard, and clear views from room to room are abundant throughout. The 2-story entry boasts a gently curving stair, and a full view through openings to the glass-clad family room. The back stair is continuous from the basement to the finished 3rd floor / attic recreation room.
The interior is finished with the finest materials and detailing, with crown molding, coffered, tray and barrel vault ceilings, chair rail, arched openings, rounded corners, built-in niches and coves, wide halls, and 12' first floor ceilings with 10' second floor ceilings.
It sits at the end of a cul-de-sac in a wooded neighborhood, surrounded by old growth trees. The homeowners, who hail from Texas, believe that bigger is better, and this house was built to match their dreams. The brick - with stone and cast concrete accent elements - runs the full 3-stories of the home, on all sides. A paver driveway and covered patio are included, along with paver retaining wall carved into the hill, creating a secluded back yard play space for their young children.

Floor to ceiling cabinetry conceals all laundry room necessities along with shelving space for extra towels, hanging rods for drying clothes, a custom made ironing board slot, pantry space for the mop and vacuum, and more storage for other cleaning supplies. Everything is beautifully concealed behind these custom made ribbon sapele doors.

This newly completed custom home project was all about clean lines, symmetry and to keep the home feeling sleek and contemporary but warm and welcoming at the same time. In the Laundry Room we used a durable, easy to clean, textured laminate finish on the cabinetry. The darker finish really creates some drama to the space and the aluminum edge banding and integrated hardware add an unexpected touch. Caesarstone Pure White Quartz tops were used to keep the room light and bright.

Laundry/utility room is next to the kitchen and the "maid's quarters." Features high efficiency LG washer and dryer, 18x18 travertine floors by Stone Tile Depot, built-in cabinetry by Kraftmade in Sonata Cherry Kaffe, a Reliance Whirlpools laundry sink, and stainless steel faucet by Kohler. Walls are Dove White by Benjamin Moore. The electrical panel is also in the laundry room, and there's plenty of room for cleaning supplies.

This space was previously divided into 2 rooms, an office, and a laundry room. The clients wanted a larger laundry room so we took out the partition wall between the existing laundry and home office, and made 1 large laundry room with lots of counter space and storage. We also incorporated a doggy washing station as the client requested. To add some warmth to the space we decided to do walnut base cabinetry throughout, and selected tiles that had a touch of bronze and gold. The long fish scale backsplash tiles help add life and texture to the rest of the space.
