Blackline Renovations
The homeowner was used to functioning with a stacked washer and dryer. As part of the primary suite addition and kitchen remodel, we relocated the laundry utilities. The new side-by-side configuration was optimal to create a large folding space for the homeowner.
Now, function and beauty are found in the new laundry room. A neutral black countertop was designed over the washer and dryer, providing a durable folding space. A full-height linen cabinet is utilized for broom/vacuum storage. The hand-painted decorative tile backsplash provides a beautiful focal point while also providing waterproofing for the drip-dry hanging rod. Bright brushed brass hardware pop against the blues used in the space.

Seabrook features miles of shoreline just 30 minutes from downtown Houston. Our clients found the perfect home located on a canal with bay access, but it was a bit dated. Freshening up a home isn’t just paint and furniture, though. By knocking down some walls in the main living area, an open floor plan brightened the space and made it ideal for hosting family and guests. Our advice is to always add in pops of color, so we did just with brass. The barstools, light fixtures, and cabinet hardware compliment the airy, white kitchen. The living room’s 5 ft wide chandelier pops against the accent wall (not that it wasn’t stunning on its own, though). The brass theme flows into the laundry room with built-in dog kennels for the client’s additional family members.
We love how bright and airy this bayside home turned out!

Down the hall, storage was key in designing this lively laundry room. Custom wall cabinets, shelves, and quartz countertop were great storage options that allowed plentiful organization when folding, placing, or storing laundry. Fun, cheerful, patterned floor tile and full wall glass backsplash make a statement all on its own and makes washing not such a bore. .

As the landing spot for all homes, the mudroom must combine plenty of open and closed storage and of course a place to sit to take your shoes on an off. This mudroom accomplishes all that and more. The Dekton bench top is both beautiful and extremely durable for this high use area. A classic combination of walnut and wood brings classic warmth to the space.
