The music room is the first space you encounter upon entering the house. We used a bold turquoise on the walls to play off the color in the rug the clients purchased while on vacation in Turkey. A dramatic crystal chandelier adds a touch of sparkle and glamour.

Rich textures and bold architectural details coexist in chic compatibility with French antiques and a sophisticated, black lacquered piano in this polished living room that also features an Ira Yeagar original oil painting.

We designed this kitchen using Plain & Fancy custom cabinetry with natural walnut and white pain finishes. The extra large island includes the sink and marble countertops. The matching marble backsplash features hidden spice shelves behind a mobile layer of solid marble. The cabinet style and molding details were selected to feel true to a traditional home in Greenwich, CT. In the adjacent living room, the built-in white cabinetry showcases matching walnut backs to tie in with the kitchen. The pantry encompasses space for a bar and small desk area. The light blue laundry room has a magnetized hanger for hang-drying clothes and a folding station. Downstairs, the bar kitchen is designed in blue Ultracraft cabinetry and creates a space for drinks and entertaining by the pool table. This was a full-house project that touched on all aspects of the ways the homeowners live in the space.

This inset bookcase was re-worked with LED tape lighting, and glass shelves replaced the old oak shelving to showcase the couple's extraordinary collection of antique glass serving dishes. The light blue paint color in the back of the bookcase makes the collection take on an ethereal quality.
Pineapple House Interior Design
Our client wanted to convert her craft room into a luxurious, private lounge that would isolate her from the noise and activity of her house. The 9 x 11 space needed to be conducive to relaxing, reading and watching television. Pineapple House mirrors an entire wall to expand the feeling in the room and help distribute the natural light. On that wall, they add a custom, shallow cabinet and house a flatscreen TV in the upper portion. Its lower portion looks like a fireplace, but it is not a working element -- only electronic candles provide illumination. Its purpose is to be an interesting and attractive focal point in the cozy space.

Our clients wanted a space where they could relax, play music and read. The room is compact and as professors, our clients enjoy to read. The challenge was to accommodate over 800 books, records and music. The space had not been touched since the 70’s with raw wood and bent shelves, the outcome of our renovation was a light, usable and comfortable space. Burnt oranges, blues, pinks and reds to bring is depth and warmth. Bespoke joinery was designed to accommodate new heating, security systems, tv and record players as well as all the books. Our clients are returning clients and are over the moon!

Our clients loved living in their classic colonial home dating to the early 1900s, but the interior felt dated and heavy. Our challenge was creating fresh design that honored the history and character of the home. We took our cues from the elegant black marble fireplace, the baby grand, and floor-to-ceiling millwork. We love the marriage of old and new-- layering original pieces with new decor elevates both, giving a space authenticity and fresh style.

While the bathroom portion of this project has received press and accolades, the other aspects of this renovation are just as spectacular. Unique and colorful elements reside throughout this home, along with stark paint contrasts and patterns galore.

This formal living room doubles as a music room for this family. The baby grand piano takes center stage and there is plenty of seating for an audience.

Using our clients' existing sofa and grand piano, our goal was to create an elegant Living Room/Piano Room where family and friends could gather and be comfortable, while keeping the look transitional and fresh. We created a photo gallery of their children that would be seen by all upon entering the house, reminding visitors that this is an elegant, but never stuffy home. Our clients tell us that this is their favorite room in their house!
