We’re beyond excited to share these incredible photos that beautifully highlight our Victorian tiles in a stunning period property. The talented team at Kerv Interiors worked their magic, keeping the charm of the classic features while breathing new life into the space with bold patterns, rich colours, and varied textures. The original character of the property shines through, but there’s a fresh twist that makes everything feel so much more vibrant and alive. From the intricate tile work to the thoughtfully chosen decor, every detail has been carefully considered and tastefully executed. Stairway

This staircase exudes a clean and neat appearance, adorned with wall lighting features that enhance its overall aesthetics. The design is characterized by a comfortable simplicity, achieving an elegant look that seamlessly blends functionality with style.

With views out to sea, ocean breezes, and an east-facing aspect, our challenge was to create 2 light-filled homes which will be comfortable through the year. The form of the design has been carefully considered to compliment the surroundings in shape, scale and form, with an understated contemporary appearance. Skillion roofs and raked ceilings, along with large expanses of northern glass and light-well stairs draw light into each unit and encourage cross ventilation. Each home embraces the views from upper floor living areas and decks, with feature green roof gardens adding colour and texture to the street frontage as well as providing privacy and shade. Family living areas open onto lush and shaded garden courtyards at ground level for easy-care family beach living. Materials selection for longevity and beauty include weatherboard, corten steel and hardwood, creating a timeless 'beach-vibe'.

Oak staircase with cut string on the face side and closed string on the wall side. The wall side have been cladded with wall panelling to follow the curvature of the staircase and handrail. the panelling os made out of mdf and painted. The treads are 25mm oak with american style return nosing. The handrail is omega profile 59 x 59mm in aok , continuous and finishes under a classic volute. The strings are pine and the spindles are victorian style in pine. Under the stairs we created storage space by adding a coat cupboard with two doors. this coat cupboard have a second compartment at the back for storing boxes of shoes, as it is as deep as the staircase which 1m wide, the coat cupboard only needs 600mm. We also added three very deep and large drawers for shoes and clothes, this pen fully and are very spacious and useful. The staircase is finished with a gallery at the top with continuous handrail

No.8 project involves the complete redesign of an outdated home, transforming it into an open, functional, and welcoming home for a growing family. The goal was to create a space filled with light and a blend of modern aesthetics with practical, family-friendly features, ensuring that the space is both beautiful and liveable. Space Planning & Layout Design: Reviewing the floor plan to maximise flow, usability, and natural light, ensuring every room meets the family’s needs. Colour Scheme & Materials: Curating a modern bright palette that reflects the family’s personality, with a balance of warm neutrals, bold accent colours, and textures that invite comfort. ​ Bespoke Design: Designing custom features, such as a bespoke staircase and built-in joinery underneath, to keep the space clear of clutter and maintain a seamless, clean look.

A modern form that plays on the space and features within this Coppin Street residence. Black steel treads and balustrade are complimented with a handmade European Oak handrail. Complete with a bold European Oak feature steps.
