After the transformation of this kitchen from a galley style into a U-shape, I created much more counter space for this compact sized kitchen. The birch kitchen cabinets in combination with the blue pearl granite counter tops, the white subway tiles and the stainless steel appliances create a modern and functional space with plenty of storage space.

This interior project centered around the renovation to a kitchen in a house originally constructed in 1924. The scope included the removal of a non-structural partition to open the Kitchen to the Dining Room. Counters were designed 4” higher than standard and provide a more suitable work surface as well as additional drawer storage.

Choosing anodized aluminum for the kitchen cabinets takes full advantage of the light, creating a luminescent sheen. In the butler’s pantry, a high-gloss sand gray lacquer with aluminum edges maximizes the reflection from the large new windows. The generous use of Calcutta marble adds the note of elegance the client desired.

Tired of the original, segmented floor plan of their midcentury home, this young family was ready to make a big change. Inspired by their beloved collection of Heath Ceramics tableware and needing an open space for the family to gather to do homework, make bread, and enjoy Friday Pizza Night…a new kitchen was born. Interior Architecture. Removal of one wall that provided a major obstruction, but no structure, resulted in connection between the family room, dining room, and kitchen. The new open plan allowed for a large island with seating and better flow in and out of the kitchen and garage. Interior Design. Vertically stacked, handmade tiles from Heath Ceramics in Ogawa Green wrap the perimeter backsplash with a nod to midcentury design. A row of white oak slab doors conceal a hidden exhaust hood while offering a sleek modern vibe. Shelves float just below to display beloved tableware, cookbooks, and cherished souvenirs.

Custom wood elements were an important design to include. The master carpenter made the island and the shelving. purlee photography

A mid century with a touch of farmhouse kitchen. We mixed oak, white shaker and flat panel black cabinets for an interesting look in this condo. We used Ikea cabinetry but chose everything else from trusted suppliers for an elevated look.

This apartment kitchen remodel includes new quartzite countertops, Modern ash wood cabinetry, and brass fixtures. A blue ceramic subway tile backsplash adds a sense of place. A wood beam open shelf helps draw the warm color of the douglas fir wood floor up onto the vertical plane of the room.

A complete two bath & kitchen renovation in a condo. Client wanted a larger kitchen area and better layout for bathrooms. We removed a wall near the entrance and extended the kitchen with additional cabinetry and storage area. Laundry room was reduced to accommodate the larger kitchen. The shared and primary bathrooms were gutted and fully remodeled as well. Enlarged shower enclosure in shared bath for more space. Layout of primary bathroom was changed for better accessibility and flow in the area. Vanity and shower was relocated to create a more spacious and inviting environment. Client didn’t like the current floors, we replaced it with luxury vinyl planks for durability.
