A studio/office for a creative, within a heritage house.
The beauty of the space - high ceilings, timber floors and heritage texture is kept centre stage.
The walls are painted white to create a clean, calm background for displaying work.
Neutral tones were used to decorate. The space was furnished with simple, modern pieces including this white shelving.
The blend of modern and heritage decor creates an inspiring creative design studio .

This can be a guest room or an office because of this Murphy Bed. A really flexible room which can open up into the Living Room, too.

We designed a backplate so the boom sconces could mount to the sides of the bookcases. Industrial strength furnishings ensure a lifetime of productivity.

The deck and writing space all frame the beautiful santa monica mountains beyond. The redwood siding will slowly gray over time and settle into its position in the landscape. Windows by Fleetwood.
Studio Shed - Live Large. Build Small.
This home office is only 8x10 but there is plenty of room for style and character! You can choose from a variety of sizes when designing a backyard office, shed or studio.

A mish mash of found objects used to organize my paints and canvasses, this also functions as a home office. Very few furniture items were purchased for more than $20. Garage sale finds and dumpster dives make for a cheap functional space to create.
MODBOX by Formatech
Our prototype MODBOX, the MB12. It's a 8'x12'x12' fully customizable modular structure. Perfect for that backyard home office, studio, gym or kids space. Could even be used as a guest house.
Built around a 5" x 5" steel frame with insulated floors, walls and ceiling. Also wired for electric and has the option for internet as well.
This is not an ordinary "shed".

In order to bring this off plan apartment to life, we created and added some much needed bespoke joinery pieces throughout. Optimised for this families' needs, the joinery includes a specially designed floor to ceiling piece in the day room with its own desk, providing some much needed work-from-home space. The interior has received some carefully curated furniture and finely tuned fittings and fixtures to inject the character of this wonderful family and turn a white cube into their new home.

This designer's eclectic home office was created by layering a wall mural, open and airy shelving separated by a simple strut-style computer ledge, and decorative details included sconces and a large sea turtle carapace.
