Rings in Sitka Willow and Hemlock Bowls
Jewelry wood bowls, handmade by Zach LaPerriere. Upper bowl is Sitka willow, salvaged from historic Swan Lake in downtown Sitka.
Lower bowl is a western hemlock branch, showing about 250 years of growth in four inches. The tree this bowl came from is estimated to be over 500 years old, and was found drifting in the ocean past my studio.
