This room had always given my client trouble. It is actually a bedroom but she uses it as a TV room. She wanted a room that made her want to run in and jump on the sofa. She said that she honestly has done that! New window treatments gave her privacy and added pattern. A custom sofa was designed for durable comfort and so it would fit in the room! And we made sure to continue her warm color palette so that the house had continuity. She loves it and uses it everyday and that makes me feel all warm and cozy inside. :-) Photography by: Steve Eltinge www.eltingephoto.com

Media room had mismatched furniture, and salmon walls. Colors were toned down, and ample seating purchased by way of a sectional. Pops of color brought in with ottoman and pillows, and can be changed seasonally.

In a corner of the Family Room, we creates a lively dialogue between 1950s furniture--including Eero Saarinen's famous 'Womb' chair and ottoman, a crisp white "Akari" floor lamp designed by Isamu Noguchi, later works of contemporary fine art, and a suite of boldly calligraphic works on paper by Richard Serra. The platform bench is by George Nelson. Photo: Groaa & Daley

My client Shawn knew exactly what he wanted for his Bachelor Residence and had already decided on a color palette "Neutral with touches of Navy & Orange" all throughout. With the help of his inspiration idea-board he shared with me on Houzz and the artwork already picked out, all that was left to do was design and create. Working together, it was easy to design and select the right pieces for the room. This project was special to me because it was the first client who requested me without an initial meeting and completely trusted my design esthetic. Kisha Brown-Richards, www.kbr.photography
