This customer wanted their deck to have seating around the edge. We built their deck and deck seating out of AZEK composite decking in Slate Grey. It features a double picture frame on the deck and single picture frame on the bench seating. This will be a lovely space for the customer to enjoy the outdoors in low maintenance on the comfort.

Here is the finished article 6 years on. It's been finished for a few years but we've made changes as needed. We're north facing so the vintage bricks struggled & broke with the cold in winter. They were so difficult to clean too so when we had our extension built in 2014, we replaced it all with the same stone inside & it. In terms of continuity it's worked really well & is far far easier to maintain.
The water bowl is by Capital Garden Products & was made to order. It looks great through the seasons & we are delighted
Fiberon Decking
Built-in deck components are becoming more popular as people expand their indoor living to the great outdoors. The bench seating and planters were constructed using the same material as the deck, Fiberon's composite decking - the ProTect Advantage line in 'Chestnut'. Planter boxes, like these, add visual interest and can soften the angles of a deck or patio. Fill planters with colorful flowers, tall ornamental grasses for privacy, or fresh herbs or vegetables that are only steps away from the outdoor kitchen!

A free-standing roof structure provides a shaded lounging area. This pavilion garnered a first-place award in the 2015 NADRA (North American Deck and Railing Association) National Deck Competition. It has a meranti ceiling with a louvered cupola and paddle fan to keep cool. (Photo by Frank Gensheimer.)

We added a detached, exterior screened porch that connects to an existing, expansive deck wrapped around the back of the home. Textured landscaping and natural grasses provide a serene backdrop to the wooden frame, and iron balusters complete the railings with their contemporary look. Mounted on oversized beams that extend beyond the deck, the vibrant fabric roof color lends a cheerful, welcoming vibe. With the screened walls keeping bugs all at bay, this porch can easily be an all-hours destination for everyone in the family. A ceiling fan attached to the large wooden beams overhead helps stir the air on lazy summer evenings, and also includes a light that invites social entertaining or quiet reading long past dark. We chose cushioned, wicker swivel chairs to complement the full table and dining set, so there really is no excuse to rush out into the day. An extension to the remodeled home, this screened porch is everything the homeowners wanted: an exquisite respite for enjoying all the sights and sounds of great back yard living.
