Decorative pendent lights hanging on both sides of mirror, specialty painted Black cabinets, and Black plumbing fixtures are all also interesting choices. The smooth wall texture is replicated on the ceiling, and a hand trowel was used to provide subtle texture variations.

For example, the wall-mounted, low-profile vanity and glass splashguard (in lieu of a full door) lend a feeling of expansiveness and ease to the bathroom.

You could choose pale colours and iridescent tiles that reflect the light, keep walls and ceilings the same colour and texture, and use complementary shades throughout the bathroom– fewer contrasts and transitions will help maintain the sense of space.
