Cutting Edge Construction & Woodworks, Inc.The completed project, with 75" TV, a 72" ethanol burning fireplace, marble slab facing with split-faced granite mantel. The flanking cabinets are 9' tall each, and are made of wenge veneer with dimmable LED backlighting behind frosted glass panels. a 6' tall person is at eye level with the bottom of the TV, which features a Sony 750 watt sound bar and wireless sub-woofer. SDG - Scheiber Design GroupThis sitting area is just opposite the large kitchen. It has a large plaster fireplace, exposed beam ceiling, and terra cotta tiles on the floor. The draperies are wool sheers in a neutral color similar to the walls. A bold area rug, zebra printed upholstered ottoman, and a tree of life sculpture complete the room.
BLUE RIBBON BUILDERS INCWith enormous rectangular beams and round log posts, the Spanish Peaks House is a spectacular study in contrasts. Even the exterior—with horizontal log slab siding and vertical wood paneling—mixes textures and styles beautifully. An outdoor rock fireplace, built-in stone grill and ample seating enable the owners to make the most of the mountain-top setting.
Inside, the owners relied on Blue Ribbon Builders to capture the natural feel of the home’s surroundings. A massive boulder makes up the hearth in the great room, and provides ideal fireside seating. A custom-made stone replica of Lone Peak is the backsplash in a distinctive powder room; and a giant slab of granite adds the finishing touch to the home’s enviable wood, tile and granite kitchen. In the daylight basement, brushed concrete flooring adds both texture and durability.

Company COur Lounge Lake Rug features circles of many hues, some striped, some color-blocked, in a crisp grid on a neutral ground. This kind of rug easily ties together all the colors of a room, or adds pop in a neutral scheme. The circles are both loop and pile, against a loop ground, and there are hints of rayon in the wool circles, giving them a bit of a sheen and adding to the textural variation. Also shown: Camden Sofa, Charleston and Madison Chairs.
Garret Cord Werner Architects & Interior DesignersThis home was built in 1952. the was completely gutted and the floor plans was opened to provide for a more contemporary lifestyle. A simple palette of concrete, wood, metal, and stone provide an enduring atmosphere that respects the vintage of the home.

Everything HomeOur studio designed this beautiful home for a family of four to create a cohesive space for spending quality time. The home has an open-concept floor plan to allow free movement and aid conversations across zones. The living area is casual and comfortable and has a farmhouse feel with the stunning stone-clad fireplace and soft gray and beige furnishings. We also ensured plenty of seating for the whole family to gather around.
In the kitchen area, we used charcoal gray for the island, which complements the beautiful white countertops and the stylish black chairs. We added herringbone-style backsplash tiles to create a charming design element in the kitchen. Open shelving and warm wooden flooring add to the farmhouse-style appeal. The adjacent dining area is designed to look casual, elegant, and sophisticated, with a sleek wooden dining table and attractive chairs.
The powder room is painted in a beautiful shade of sage green. Elegant black fixtures, a black vanity, and a stylish marble countertop washbasin add a casual, sophisticated, and welcoming appeal.

Cathie Hong InteriorsThis 1956 John Calder Mackay home had been poorly renovated in years past. We kept the 1400 sqft footprint of the home, but re-oriented and re-imagined the bland white kitchen to a midcentury olive green kitchen that opened up the sight lines to the wall of glass facing the rear yard. We chose materials that felt authentic and appropriate for the house: handmade glazed ceramics, bricks inspired by the California coast, natural white oaks heavy in grain, and honed marbles in complementary hues to the earth tones we peppered throughout the hard and soft finishes. This project was featured in the Wall Street Journal in April 2022.
