Practically every aspect of this home was worked on by the time we completed remodeling this Geneva lakefront property. We added an addition on top of the house in order to make space for a lofted bunk room and bathroom with tiled shower, which allowed additional accommodations for visiting guests. This house also boasts five beautiful bedrooms including the redesigned master bedroom on the second level. The main floor has an open concept floor plan that allows our clients and their guests to see the lake from the moment they walk in the door. It is comprised of a large gourmet kitchen, living room, and home bar area, which share white and gray color tones that provide added brightness to the space. The level is finished with laminated vinyl plank flooring to add a classic feel with modern technology. When looking at the exterior of the house, the results are evident at a single glance. We changed the siding from yellow to gray, which gave the home a modern, classy feel. The deck was also redone with composite wood decking and cable railings. This completed the classic lake feel our clients were hoping for. When the project was completed, we were thrilled with the results!

Faced with the challenge of limited wall space, this primary bedroom had only one prospect for bed placement. Adjacent walls consist of a parade of windows paralleling a working fireplace. To achieve the cozy oasis desired, the walls were hand-painted with a horizontal brushstroke to cleverly resemble grass cloth. A custom-built headboard upholstered in a cut velvet fabric is a soft backdrop for the hydrangea-printed pillows. Brass swing-arm wall sconces free-up space on the petite bedside tables. A chenille covered settee nestles the foot of the bed and is flanked by a pair of turned-wood arm chairs. The ottoman wrapped in zebra print, hair-on-hide upholstery delivers a smidgeon of whimsy. The quaint retreat offers an elevated boutique-hotel ambiance at day's end for the happy homeowners.

It all started with an amazing mural wallpaper from Phillip Jeffries, and then the most fantastic light added just the right amount of fun! Finished off with cozy and inviting bedding atop a light upholstered bed.

The Master Bedroom continues the theme of cool and warm, this time using all whites and neutrals and mixing in even more natural elements like seagrass, rattan, and greenery. The showstopper is the stained wood ceiling with an intricate yet modern geometric pattern. The master has retractable glass doors separating it and its private lanai.

master bedroom, bed canopy, bed drapery, window drapery, chandelier, accent molding, accent crown, The window view is of the many townhomes below the ridge and adding the sheer cafe curtains blurred the view while allowing the beautiful blue sky and distant mountain ridge be the focal. Using the client's existing chandelier that was once inthe dining room of her preivous home added the right elegant touch to this bedroom. the 12 ft ceilings needed a defination so we added additional molding avoe the window to accent a paint color that we also used in the ceilign tray center. upholtered headboard adds more elegance to this soft dreamy master bedroom. Lastly, we altered the existing drapery from her previous residence because she loved the fabric and didn't want to waste it and made the bed canopy and drapery by adding an accent fabric. The door to the bathroom was a problem so we designed a hidden hardware rolling door instead of a sliding barn door. its is perfect and we added mirror in the side lights to reflect the view while providing privacy for the bathroom.

This 1956 John Calder Mackay home had been poorly renovated in years past. We kept the 1400 sqft footprint of the home, but re-oriented and re-imagined the bland white kitchen to a midcentury olive green kitchen that opened up the sight lines to the wall of glass facing the rear yard. We chose materials that felt authentic and appropriate for the house: handmade glazed ceramics, bricks inspired by the California coast, natural white oaks heavy in grain, and honed marbles in complementary hues to the earth tones we peppered throughout the hard and soft finishes. This project was featured in the Wall Street Journal in April 2022.
