Phelps House
Architecturally, what many consider the finest house in Andover, Phelps House, on the Phillips Academy Campus, remains the architectural showpiece on “The Hill”. The home was built in 1809 and gardens were later designed by Olmsted Brothers in early 1900.
We were hired to design and renovate the landscape, reinterpreting the original design while meeting modern, programmatic needs. The stately and refined home is now complimented by a tailored and elegant landscape. Phelps House is occupied by Phillips Academy Head of School and the gardens are the backdrop to many campus events.
