Outdated contemporary kitchen gets a 'Traditional' redesign

The first area we focused on was the new cooking station. Closing in the former peninsula seating wall, we were able to relocate the cooktop (formerly at the island), installing new updraft ventilation and balance the cooking area countertop on both sides. The left/right side of the cooking station received storage on both sides; one for items like baking sheets, flat pans and the other for cooking/prep products (from spices to can products). Larger cooking pans fit easily into the diagonal base cabinet on the far left, while the lazy susan revolving shelf to the right could store cannisters to stackable storage items. The added angled glass door cabinet to the far left added a beautiful touch to the main entrance. Above and below cabinet lighting illuminated the room and softened the overall ambiance of the space.
