Interiors by PopovWhen we drove out to Mukilteo for our initial consultation, we immediately fell in love with this house. With its tall ceilings, eclectic mix of wood, glass and steel, and gorgeous view of the Puget Sound, we quickly nicknamed this project "The Mukilteo Gem". Our client, a cook and baker, did not like her existing kitchen. The main points of issue were short runs of available counter tops, lack of storage and shortage of light. So, we were called in to implement some big, bold ideas into a small footprint kitchen with big potential. We completely changed the layout of the room by creating a tall, built-in storage wall and a continuous u-shape counter top. Early in the project, we took inventory of every item our clients wanted to store in the kitchen and ensured that every spoon, gadget, or bowl would have a dedicated "home" in their new kitchen. The finishes were meticulously selected to ensure continuity throughout the house. We also played with the color scheme to achieve a bold yet natural feel.This kitchen is a prime example of how color can be used to both make a statement and project peace and balance simultaneously. While busy at work on our client's kitchen improvement, we also updated the entry and gave the homeowner a modern laundry room with triple the storage space they originally had.
End result: ecstatic clients and a very happy design team. That's what we call a big success!

When achieving a dream kitchen, it is important to consider all the finer details like storage needs. Featuring this neatly fitted out appliance cabinet, perfect for the morning breakfast run! Every room in this Docklands apartment displays the wow factor! Scandi theme is the design statement behind the timber barn door into the bathroom and euro laundry. This stunning timber grooved paneling, wall hung vanity has introduced texture and a focal point into this adoring renovation. Striking the balance with perfect mix of warmth, clean lines to create a seamless open feel. The Ensuite is nothing but amazing, exquisite finishes alongside the center piece of the freestanding bathtub. The speckled Terrazzo flooring is visually beautiful against the white custom- made joinery with brushed gold fittings throughout, creating a real timeless feel with complete luxury.
Lemon Remodeling & ServicesThis project features light hardwood flooring and recessed LED lights all around the house. We upgraded the kitchen with an island, and beautiful blue cabinets. The bathrooms all have hardwood vanities with porcelain tops and undermounted sinks, as well as light up mirrors, and the showers have shampoo niches and hinged glass doors.
Metropolis Drafting and Construction IncA small enclosed kitchen is very common in many homes such as the home that we remodeled here.
Opening a wall to allow natural light to penetrate the space is a must. When budget is important the solution can be as you see in this project - the wall was opened and removed but a structural post remained and it was incorporated in the design.
The blue modern flat paneled cabinets was a perfect choice to contras the very familiar gray scale color scheme but it’s still compliments it since blue is in the correct cold color spectrum.
Notice the great black windows and the fantastic awning window facing the pool. The awning window is great to be able to serve the exterior sitting area near the pool.
Opening the wall also allowed us to compliment the kitchen with a nice bar/island sitting area without having an actual island in the space.
The best part of this kitchen is the large built-in pantry wall with a tall wine fridge and a lovely coffee area that we built in the sitting area made the kitchen expend into the breakfast nook and doubled the area that is now considered to be the kitchen.
Ashton RenovationsThe original kitchen in this condominium was renovated arising from the need to replace Kitec plumbing. The work triangle remained generally the same, but numerous changes were made to improve the kitchen’s functionality, aesthetics, and lighting. Automation was also introduced. The goal was to design and build a modern contemporary functional kitchen with inspiring colours accented with textured wood features.
The functionality was improved with the addition of an under counter microwave, which freed up countertop space. Additional and improved storage was also created by incorporating under cabinet drawers throughout the kitchen, a bar area with open glass shelving above, and open shelving to the right of the seating area. Upper cabinet storage was as well increased with storage above the fridge.
Numerous lighting improvements were made including the addition of potlights. This was done by dropping the ceiling in the kitchen, which also created a visual division with the dining area. Automation was introduced as well into the space with HUE under cabinet lighting, and a touch faucet. The under cabinet lights are controlled by the Phillips Hue App that programs routines, scenes, and other settings.
The kitchen features painted Shaker cabinets accented by textured wood shelving. The countertop surfaces are quartz with waterfalls on both sides of the island, which is a focal point. Shapes are also strongly identified in the design with the use of triangular tiles in the backsplash along with rectangular upper cabinets, and appliance doors and drawers. The kitchen is made most unique though with the uplifting use of colour in the cabinets that make this a bright and cheerful space.

Stalburg DesignThis stylish, family friendly kitchen is also an entertainer’s dream! This young family desired a bright, spacious kitchen that would function just as well for the family of 4 everyday, as it would for hosting large events (in a non-covid world). Apart from these programmatic goals, our aesthetic goal was to accommodate all the function and mess into the design so everything would be neatly hidden away behind beautiful cabinetry and panels.
The navy, bifold buffet area serves as an everyday breakfast and coffee bar, and transforms into a beautiful buffet spread during parties (we’ve been there!). The fridge drawers are great for housing milk and everyday items during the week, and both kid and adult beverages during parties while keeping the guests out of the main cooking zone. Just around the corner you’ll find the high gloss navy bar offering additional beverages, ice machine, and barware storage – cheers!
Super durable quartz with a marbled look keeps the kitchen looking neat and bright, while withstanding everyday wear and tear without a problem. The practical waterfall ends at the island offer additional damage control in bringing that hard surface all the way down to the beautiful white oak floors.
Underneath three large window walls, a built-in banquette and custom table provide a comfortable, intimate dining nook for the family and a few guests while the stunning chandelier ties in nicely with the other brass accents in the kitchen. The thin black window mullions offer a sharp, clean contrast to the crisp white walls and coordinate well with the dark banquette.
Thin, tall windows on either side of the range beautifully frame the stunningly simple, double curvature custom hood, and large windows in the bar/butler’s pantry allow additional light to really flood the space and keep and airy feel. The textured wallpaper in the bar area adds a touch of warmth, drama and interest while still keeping things simple.

Audus KitchensIn the heart of Harpenden, a family sought to create a kitchen that was more than a cooking space; they wanted a multifunctional area tailored to their busy lifestyle. The goal was to combine functionality with a welcoming atmosphere for family and work-related activities.
For this project, the chosen range was Nobilia 945 Easytouch combined with 966 Lacquered Laminate in a stunning Fjord Blue Ultra Matt finish.
The worktops, supplied by Algarve Granite, were 12mm CRL Nero Natural CER104N ceramic with a Grey mirror finish, adding a sleek and contemporary edge to the kitchen. The inclusion of Siemens, Bora, Blanco, and Quooker appliances ensured the kitchen was equipped with the latest in kitchen technology, blending functionality and style seamlessly.
The kitchen was designed with dedicated areas to cater to their lifestyle - a walk-in larder and large utility area were essential elements, providing ample storage and workspace.
The final result is a Fjord Blue Kitchen that encapsulates the essence of modern living. The combination of Nobilia’s sleek design with practical features like the walk-in larder and high-quality appliances has created a space that meets the family’s needs and enhances their daily life.
