Contemporary German Kitchen in Barns Green, West Sussex Explore this contemporary Fjord Blue & Satin Grey German Kitchen, complete with a matching utility and TV area. The Brief This client sought to transform their kitchen, utility, and dining area with a theme that could be replicated across the three areas of this room. Bold colours were favoured from initial project conversations, and modern conveniences were to be implemented into the design across all three areas. The project was to also include a small amount of structural work to create access into the utility area, as well as the installation of bi-fold doors towards the garden end of the room. Design Elements To achieve the bold aesthetic the client favoured the design utilises a relatively new Fjord Blue finish from German supplier Nobilia. This matt blue finish is contrasted with a glossy Satin Grey option, in a combination that has been deployed across all three areas of this room. The main kitchen utilises a similar layout to the previous, but with designer Alistair making the most of the space available and tailoring elements to the client’s requirements. The silky work surfaces are a Corian finish, an additional modern element to the design. The finish is Grey Onyx, and combines well with bold elements of this design, and the vibrant blue glass splashback colour. Several clever storage and space saving solutions have been incorporated into this design. One is a full-height pull-out pantry placed next to the client’s own American fridge-freezer, and another is the tambour unit which the client liked as a place to store small appliances and breakfast items. A number of appliances were required as part of this project with high-specification Neff models chosen. One of these is a Flexinduction hob which is installed beneath a built-in Neff extractor, integrated into wall units. A Neff Slide & Hide single oven and combination oven have also been installed, and another high-tech inclusion is a Quooker boiling water tap fitted above a sizeable double stainless steel sink. Special Inclusions To give the room the modern feel this client sought, designer Alistair has implemented a number of lighting options to illuminate and enhance the space. Downlights, handrail LED strip lights and plinth lighting have all been installed across the kitchen and matching utility area. The utility itself utilises the same theme as the kitchen and is equipped with plenty of useful storage space. Another great addition in the utility is a full-height CDA wine cabinet, which has capacity to store more than one-hundred wine bottles. The entrance to the utility was rethought as part of the project too. A pocket door was chosen to ensure that the utility did not feel too separated from the kitchen and dining areas, and our installation team installed this as part of the installation. Above the entrance to the utility downlights have been installed which shine upon glass splashback, an inventive piece of work by one of our installers on-site. Project Highlight The final area of this vast space is the TV area, which utilises the same Fjord Blue cabinetry, this time with Havana Oak accents. This area provides extra storage for the clients and is equipped with a built-in TV, positioned in front of their dining area to be used when dining or entertaining. The End Result This project is another that shines a light upon the exceptional results that can be achieved using our complete design and installation service. This design incorporated a full kitchen, utility and TV area design, with structural work, furniture installation, electrical work, plumbing and even a small portion of flooring, coordinated by our in-house team and delivered from a single quotation. Our client was moving into a newly built family home in Inverallochy and wanted a kitchen that would be modern and functional. Their requirements included a large central island, a separate coffee-making area, and matching furniture to optimise the space. The Nolte Lux range was selected for this kitchen, pairing Magnolia colour furniture with Lava on tall units. This choice struck a balanced aesthetic while maintaining a modern look. We used 20mm Silestone Coral Clay for the island worktop and contrasted it with Nolte 40mm Platinum Bough Oak on the perimeter, including a 100mm breakfast bar. We used all NEFF appliances including two single ovens, a microwave, warming drawer, and induction hob to fulfill every culinary need. A Blanco Subline 1 ½ undermounted sink in Tartufo and a Quooker Fusion Square Stainless Steel instant boiling water tap were added for ease of use. The matching TV unit, matching sideboard type unit and a large freestanding table with a bench utilised the Nolte product to the maximum. Interested in redesigning your kitchen? Ultramodern German Kitchen in Ewhurst, Surrey The Brief For this project near Ewhurst, Surrey, our contracts team were tasked with creating a minimalist design to suit the extensive construction taking place at this property. A light and spacious theme was sought by this client, as well as a layout that would flow outdoors to a patio and garden yet make the most of the space available. High-tech appliances were required for function as well as to add to a minimalist design. Design Elements For the project, an all-white theme was decided to help the space feel airy with lots of natural light. Kitchen cabinetry is from our trusty German supplier Nobilia, with the client opting for the matt effect furniture of the Fashion range. In terms of layout, a vast run of full height, then base and wall units are used to incorporate heaps of storage, space for appliances and work surfaces. A large island has been incorporated and adds to the seamless ‘outdoor’ style when bi-fold doors are open in warmer months. The handleless operation of the kitchen adds to the minimalist feel, with stainless steel rails instead used to access drawers and doors. To add ambience to the space LED strip lighting has been fitted within the handrail, as well as integrated lighting in the wall units. Special Inclusions To incorporate high-tech functions Neff cooking appliances, a full-height refrigerator and freezer have been specified in addition to an integrated Neff dishwasher. As part of the cooking appliance arrangement, a single Slide & Hide oven, combination oven and warming drawer have been utilised each adding heaps of appliance ingenuity. To remove the need for a traditional extractor hood, a Bora Pure venting hob has been placed on the vast island area. Project Highlight The work surfaces for this project required extensive attention to detail. Waterfall edges are used on both sides of the island, whilst on the island itself, touch sockets have been fabricated into the quartz using a waterjet to create almost unnoticeable edges. The veins of the Silestone work surfaces have been matched at joins to create a seamless appearance on the waterfall edges and worktop upstands. The finish used for the work surfaces is Bianco Calacatta. The End Result The outcome of this project is a wonderful kitchen and dining area, that delivers all the elements of the brief. The quartz work surfaces are a particular highlight, as well as the layout that is flexible and can function as a seamless inside-outside kitchen in hotter months. This project was undertaken by our contract kitchen team. One of the greatest pleasures in our job is to produce joinery for a client that has waited many years for what they dream of. When i met the client in our showroom she didn't know where to start... I suggested to spill everything she had out and we will bring all together to make it work in design, colours and practicality.. the most important! Minimalistic design is one of the more complicated designs to achieve as we need to have clean uninterrupted lines that flow through. It needs to feel simple and seamless but feature the latest in hardware, technology, functionality and practicality. Using design tricks like featuring the island bench with 60mm mitred stone in a beautiful marble finish and simple 20mm matt stone finish at the rear makes it feel bold and simplistic. The addition of modern Electrolux appliances and Grey MirrorKote splashback finished off the true modern minimalistic design. The end result is a heap of design, storage and technology packed into this beautiful space.

Hi, everyone we are in Reston, Virginia, In this project, the kitchen used to be is now the living room. My clients wanted to update their kitchen, it was a little tight where it was, there were a lot of walls. We wanted to take it away and kind of give them a bigger island so they can seat the kids and they can all have a seat together, enjoy their breakfast, and so forth in a bigger, wider space. So we also redid the entire floors throughout the house. I wanted to go with a slightly more natural look for the wood. It has a natural stain with a matte finish, which hides scratches. If you have pets or kids, we also match the wood to the floor. So there is a little bit of warmth around the white. We added sconces around the dining room area to the fireplace to kind of highlight that area there. And then we also paneled the fridge. It makes this line continue a little bit longer since they didn't have the longest run on this end. So it's not stopping by an obstacle that's metal or stainless steel. So that way, it kind of blends in a little bit more with everything, and you only have the range that's showing, which is the focal point We'll see you on the next project. Enjoy.

To ensure peak performance, the Boise Passive House utilized triple-pane glazing with the A5 aluminum window, Air-Lux Sliding door, and A7 swing door. Each product brings dynamic efficiency, further affirming an air-tight building envelope. The increased air-seals, larger thermal breaks, argon-filled glazing, and low-E glass, may be standard features for the Glo Series but they provide exceptional performance just the same. Furthermore, the low iron glass and slim frame profiles provide clarity and increased views prioritizing overall aesthetics despite their notable efficiency values.
