Genus Landscape Architects
This weatherboard home was being given a facelift and our client wanted a minimal and modernist style garden to reflect the feel of the home.
A large garage was removed from the rear garden which provided opportunity to create new outdoor spaces such as a paved entertaining area and a new stretch of lawn.
Existing garden beds were given new life with plant species selected to provide a range of textures, colours and scent.
The random slate paving is a standout feature of this garden and the attention to detail by landscaper Oliver Stone has truly brought our design to life.

Cascade Outdoor Design
After working with this client on their home a few years ago, we were given the opportunity to create a landscape design for one of their multi-family properties. The goal was to create a landscape that not only enhances the property and fits the style of the building, but is also as cost effective and low maintenance as possible. We achieved this by keeping a limited plant palette, utilizing gravel and artificial turf, and exploring various options for hardscape and screening to achieve the desired look without blowing the budget.
This was a "design only" project. Installation was coordinated by the homeowner and completed by others.

The front and back areas surrounding this Eichler home were updated with the mid-century modern design aesthetic in mind. The Front landscape takes on a minimalist design with architectural Barrel Cactus, Artichoke Agaves, stately Thatching Reeds, a Blue Palm (Brahea 'Clara') a Mediterranean Fan Palm and other easy-care plants. The corten steel sculpture offers a striking focal point adjacent to the front doorway.
