The light filled foyer of this Mid Century Modern Home features metal and glass front doors. Our design team selected MCM furniture and finished the space with colorful art, throw pillows, lamps, barware, books, bedding and home accessories. The clients already owned a few wonderful original MCM furniture pieces that we were able to incorporate into our design, as well.

A true challenge...This property had fallen out of escrow several times before it became our residence. Apparently, know one knew what to do with this 1954 California ranch. After several months, my former partner and I decided to blend my favorite "craftsman" and his "clean modern" elements together. Always listen to the home, consider it a type of architectural dance and the home will lead you. Strong use of horizontal warm native redwoods contrasting smooth exterior stucco. Water elements that greet you at the entrance and reappear in the geometrically inspired rear garden. This was personally, one of my favorite projects.

Our designer, Beatriz Elizando, and her team were tasked to design an elegant marble pattern for entrance-way deck of a cottage-style residence, earlier in 2015. This stylish mosaic is the beauty she came up with incorporating several of the client's preferences and choices. It perfectly fits in with the rest of the interior while at the same time introducing a splash of design and excitement in the space. Doesn't it just look perfect!

This commercial space needed an entire redo. The space was previously used for a theater improve space but has been turned into offices. From completely new carpeting to fresh paint and an added kitchen, this project looks brand new.

The architecture of this mid-century ranch in Portland’s West Hills oozes modernism’s core values. We wanted to focus on areas of the home that didn’t maximize the architectural beauty. The Client—a family of three, with Lucy the Great Dane, wanted to improve what was existing and update the kitchen and Jack and Jill Bathrooms, add some cool storage solutions and generally revamp the house.
We totally reimagined the entry to provide a “wow” moment for all to enjoy whilst entering the property. A giant pivot door was used to replace the dated solid wood door and side light.
We designed and built new open cabinetry in the kitchen allowing for more light in what was a dark spot. The kitchen got a makeover by reconfiguring the key elements and new concrete flooring, new stove, hood, bar, counter top, and a new lighting plan.
Our work on the Humphrey House was featured in Dwell Magazine.

We replaced the old, traditional, wooden door with this new glass door and panels, opening up the space and bringing in natural light, while also framing the beautiful landscaping by our colleague, Suzanne Arca (www.suzannearcadesign.com). New modern-era inspired lighting adds panache, flanked by the new Dutton Brown blown-glass and brass chandelier lighting and artfully-round Bradley mirror.
