Chiltern Garden DesignUnder a fully automated bio-climatic pergola, a dining area and outdoor kitchen have been created on a raised composite deck. The kitchen is fully equipped with SubZero Wolf appliances, outdoor pizza oven, warming drawer, barbecue and sink, with a granite worktop. Heaters and screens help to keep the party going into the evening, as well as lights incorporated into the pergola, whose slats can open and close electronically. A decorative screen creates an enhanced backdrop and ties into the pattern on the 'decorative rug' around the firebowl.
Deck & Drive SolutionsWe build a 2 decks for this client for 2 living areas. We used Timbertech Legacy Ashwood for the decking and Westbury Railing in Tuscany Style for the railing. We then installed (2) pergolas that open and shut. The final touch was the lattice below to match their shed.
Boyce Design + BuildThe upper level of this gorgeous Trex deck is the central entertaining and dining space and includes a beautiful concrete fire table and a custom cedar bench that floats over the deck. The dining space is defined by the stunning, cantilevered, aluminum pergola above and cable railing along the edge of the deck. Adjacent to the pergola is a covered grill and prep space. Light brown custom cedar screen walls provide privacy along the landscaped terrace and compliment the warm hues of the decking. Terrasse Paradis10m2 ! Petite surface mais gros défi pour ce balcon où chaque mètre carré devait être repensé et réinventé pour y créer une cuisine d'été, un coin repas et un espace détente. Sans oublier des solutions de rangements et deux objectifs : faire de cet extérieur une vraie pièce supplémentaire, et impacter positivement la clarté à l'intérieur de l'appartement.
Les couleurs de l'ensemble, sobres et lumineuses (déclinaison de blanc cassé, de beige et d'écru) sont réveillés par des touches de vert olive (banquette et crédence). Côté matériaux, de l'enduit à la chaux, du carrelage façon bejmat, du bois et des fibres (de coco et de jute) ont été mixés pour rester dans une ambiance méditerranéenne. Enfin, des arrondis (banquette sur-mesure et éléments de mobilier) ont été intégrés pour casser l'aspect très rectiligne et favoriser l'optimisation de l'espace.

Archadeck of AustinAt the opposite end of this long deck you’ll find the clients’ outdoor fireplace. It’s a gas-burning fireplace we built with chop block stone matching the outdoor kitchen. We added a cap of cream Lueders stone on either side of the chimney. You may notice the stone hearth built into the deck. Building code requires you have non-combustible materials outside the fireplace doors. We used a combination of inlaid stone and an AZEK decking border for the hearth. There is plenty of room for comfortable seating in front of the fireplace.

A pergola over a specific section sets off that area and defines it as an outdoor room. As you may know, some pergolas provide more shade than others. It all depends on the pergola design. This large two-beam pergola, attached to the house, is designed for shade with purlins that are close together. The pergola also has a translucent cover that filters UV rays, blocks heat, and shields the outdoor kitchen from rain.
