Fullers Landscaping
The client wanted a garden with a variety of entertaining areas and one that could be used all year round. We included a heated gazebo for the colder days and nights along with two other seating areas. The client also wanted a low maintenance garden as so we used porcelain birch effect tiles instead of timber to create a 'decking' effect area and this matched the rest of the porcelain tiles we used. There were walk ways between each area and low maintenance planting to complete the look.

Completed in early summer 2019, a main feature of this small London garden is the central tapestry lawn. The clients were after a space that was very seasonal, full of flower and immersive. A pairing of one partner’s desire for an architectural feel to the overall garden and the other’s more natural, slight desire for wilderness was how the wildflower meadow become a central feature, yet was retained by a crisp framework of hard materials. The newly renovated house / extension had an overriding crisp and modern feel, using stacked Petersen bricks for the façade which we used as the basis for our material palette.
The upper terrace is formed of English Yorkstone to create a space for a couple of lounge chairs to sit below the canopy of an umbrella shaped Amelanchier tree and be looking towards the ponds through the ever-changing wildflower lawn. A clipped framework of a Hornbeam hedge that runs alongside the Yorkstone path, leads you to a lower more shaded gravel area, planted with a combination of different more shade and water loving plants. A gravel opening allows a couple of chairs to be positioned overlooking the water, and an option of a fire pit for warming cooler evenings.
The view from the inside of the house was key and the clients wished to feel that they could experience the British seasons. Amongst the wildflowers, scented, flowering shrubs are planted that are visible when the meadow is cut down, and provide a structural feel through the winter months. These bushy shrubs also help to create a feeling of privacy when inside.

This wooded, lakeside home plays an influential role in the homeowners artistic vision as a magical realist painter. By providing an environment that comes alive with the sights and sounds of nature, the artist is able to closely study as an explorer would by uncovering, recording, and rearranging the beauty of the natural world and the beauty of human beings.
This connection to nature comes from a horticultural interest manifested in the daily ritual of digging and pruning in her Connecticut garden. A daily ritual of physical immersion with the dirt and the worms of life contrasts with the otherworldly fantastical spaces the artist creates for her paintings. The paradoxical character of these two places imbues her paintings with an alluring mystery.

Like all projects this garden had a budget, we prefer to call this “An Investment”. The best place to start is with a design and materials specification. It’s at this point we can offer an accurate quotation and show off exactly what we can achieve within the budget.

A family garden where the premium was on an open kick about lawn for the children, while also providing amazing outdoor entertaining and relaxation spaces for the parents.
Custom designed metal screens are installed to the narrow side garden to provide a frame for climbing plants and offer views from within the home and privacy from neighbours.

Kebur Garden Materials
This wall is clad using Kenoteq K Briq, unfired brick slips made from 90% recycled construction waste. Not yet on the market, the carbon impact of these bricks is around 13% of a traditional fired brick.
The creative design by Mike Long is an exemplar of responsible and resourceful design; blending old with new, with no compromise on style. The design uses Asian Blue Tumbled Limestone Setts for the water feature, rill and sunken seating area, with Brazilian Black Slate paving and Styleclad porcelain cladding to finish the contemporary look. Scaffold boards and poles are used for the bar, decking and pergola. Other salvaged materials include a rainwater harvester, pipework and taps and pallet timber, showing how the varied textures of weathered and worn materials can inject character to a space.

The overall goal of this property is to increase curb appeal and privacy in the front yard and create a tropical entertaining space in the backyard. An Areca Palm hedge is proposed along the roadway for privacy in the front yard. This type of treatment creates a visual buffer with the desired tropical aesthetic. Planter beds are proposed at the driveway along the street as well as in the corner near the intersection. Specimen palms and colorful shrubs are proposed in these beds. A paver patio is proposed off the sunroom double doors with a modern aluminum pergola. A screen wall along the backside of the pergola will block views to the shed while enjoying the outdoor lounge area. A built-in grill area with a bar counter and outdoor dining table is proposed to the right of the lounge area. A paver patio wraps the perimeter of the pool with the opportunity for lounge areas. Plants such as Traveller’s Palm, Foxtail Palm, Blue Capewort, and Coontie have been proposed throughout the yard to achieve a tropical modern aesthetic.
Absolute Project Management
The new Patio doors are moderns and smart, and beautifully connect the patio and living space. Many potted plants clustered add a layer of personality to the deck, and continue the flow of greenery into the living space.
