A recent update on this large corner lot in Garden Grove is now in full fall splendor along a busy sidewalk and thorough fare. The ornamental grasses and custom wood fence make for such elegant lighting.

Welcome home! Mid Century inspired pergola design was the added touch this old patio needed to become the gathering spot for R&R.

A period correct breeze block wall was built as a backdrop to the kitchen view and an industrial charcoal corrugated metal fence completes the leitmotif and creates privacy around the property.

Transformed and transported this Desert Mid-Century Modern from Palm Springs straight to this North Scottsdale home. Every detail was highly considered, even down to the customer made breeze block to create this on-trend screen wall. Everything is new, all plants, cactus, agave, succulents, plants, and lighting. A very large thank you to our incredible client. We are thankful to have been part of this special project!

Dig Your Garden Landscape Design
Detail of the concrete pathway with polished Mexican pebbles, steel edging and modern light fixtures. We designed and installed this dramatic living wall / vertical garden to add a welcoming focal point, and a great way to add living beauty to the large front house wall. The dated walkway was updated with large geometric concrete pavers with polished black pebbles in between, and a new concrete driveway. Water-wise grasses flowering plants and succulents replace the lawn. This updated modern renovation for this mid-century modern home includes a new garage and front entrance door and modern garden light fixtures. Some photos taken 2 months after installation and recently as well. We designed and installed this dramatic living wall / vertical garden to add a welcoming focal point, and a great way to add plant beauty to the large front wall. A variety of succulents, grass-like and cascading plants were designed and planted to provide long cascading "waves" resulting in appealing textures and colors. View of the new entrance to the historical John Randal McDonald designed home. We were retained for the landscape design partially because of our background in architecture and our understanding of the mid-century aesthetic.

Pepo Botanic Design
The clients brief to Pepo was, the finished design was to have a lush, retro feel drawing on the bold garden aesthetics of the Parker Hotel, Chateaux Marmont, The Beverley Hills Hotel and the Royal Hawaiian. The was planting to be structured to increase privacy and give the garden focal points but also luxurious and fun.
The garden now has a dynamic but relaxed feel. The lawn has been framed by two blade walls and is connected to the house by an Endicot Crazy Paved walkway which softens the strong lines of the architecture. Palms are planted in the lawn and shade the black Neutra Chairs from Cosh Living. At night the garden is just as appealing with up lights under the palms and feature elements and spherical floating lights in the pool. This garden has given the home a pulse and is enjoyed by many.

Urban Oasis Landscape Design
We began by removing the patchwork of “updates” that left a confusing pastiche. At the front of the house, we removed a late addition window and veneer stonework. Starting over now with a clean slate, we chose a color palette of rich charcoal and warm coral-orange. Over the new smooth stucco finish, we built two custom vertical screens with natural cedar to break up the expanse of the front walls and replaced the dated garage door with a stunning cedar door. New concrete planters hold an exotic collection of cactii at the entrance.
