Charlie Luxton Design
Conversion of a listed medieval and late Victorian barn complex in to a one-bedroom annex space. Excellent workmanship and attention to detail by the the fantastic build team resulted in an effortless, light-touch approach, where the boundary between original and adapted fabric is blurred. The client sought to exploit the existing features of the building including beautiful timber trusses and floor structure combined with subtle interventions which has breathed life back in to an underused and forgotten set of buildings.

BKD InteriorsThe client is a west Texas native turned big city lawyer. The design of the space reflects these contrasting influences bringing together a bold, contemporary design with organic elements. Removing walls opened the space creating the perfect environment for a floating staircase. The new staircase is the focal point of the room and a one-of-a-kind conversation piece with a built-in functional bar and buffet. The backlit alabaster behind the bar brings light and depth.

Above is a balcony with a panoramic lake view. Below, a whole floor of indoor entertainment possibilities. Seacliff Construction & DesignThe owners of this beachfront retreat wanted a whole-home remodel. They were looking to revitalize their three-story vacation home with an exterior inspired by Japanese woodcraft and an interior the evokes Scandinavian simplicity. Now, the open kitchen and living room offer an energetic space for the family to congregate while enjoying a 360 degree coastal views.
Built-in bunkbeds for six ensure there’s enough sleeping space for visitors, while the outdoor shower makes it easy for beachgoers to rinse off before hitting the deckside hot tub. It was a joy to help make this vision a reality!
Aeris HomeThis was the last stage of this remodel. Client was eager to change out the green carpet he had throughout the house. While working on that, we decided to upgrade the staircase as well. Having dark tile in the kitchen and very light walls in the rest of the house, we agreed on doing dark floors. Our maple stairs are stained to match the luxury vinyl plank flooring, which turned out to look fantastic with the golden carpet we have upstairs. It is safe to say that final design of stairs and flooring matches client's vintage furniture and rugs that he's collected over the years of travel and work overseas.
