Skinflint
A conundrum that faced an Anglo-French couple that built a Cycladic style house on the Caldera of Santorini, was sourcing lights that could be incorporated into the architectural scheme of domes and barrel vaulted ceilings.
Having considered various ideas, styles and genres, the sheer variety of pendants and wall lights offered by Skinflint proved to be the answer.
In total over 60 light fixtures were supplied, ranging from French Holophane wall lights and converted signal lights from a frigate by Francis of Bolton to fluorescent lights by British manufactures Victor and Hayes.
Now a stunning six bedroom house on the Greek island of Santorini, overlooking the Aegean sea, this beautiful piece of architecture is also an archive where the lights proudly proclaim their origins.
TG-Studio
Originally a bread oven, this alcove was hidden behind a partition wall and used as storage. TG Studio opened up
into the living room and introduced a circular roof light and four different shaped windows with yellow tinted glass to
create a very large chill out niche/snug. At night LEDs light up these windows so they glow yellow and stand out next
to the stone façade. A round window in the ceiling allows further light in. The cushions are by Ferm Living and Tasca.
The sidetables are from French Connection.

Climate permitted, indoor/outdoor living is a popular trend. To give my clients privacy and create a feeling of expansiveness, we planted a 20-foot tall Ficus hedge along the side of the residential bocce court which provides a magnificent natural backdrop from the inside looking out.
