This well appointed kitchen features a chefs oven with elaborate cast stone hood and corbels, granite countertops, and tile back splash. The detailed shaker style cabinetry has flush inset doors with beaded reveal, and glazed finish. The exposed wood beams and hickory wood floors extend from the Living and Dining Room through this elegant Kitchen. The clients worked with the collaborative efforts of builders Ron and Fred Parker, architect Don Wheaton, and interior designer Robin Froesche to create this incredible home.

The Abington inset door-style from Dewils Cabinetry creates the perfect backdrop for this modern take on Spanish-Revival. Two-tone cabinetry – Just White and Caffe on Cherry – paired with furniture-like posts, give just enough detail to allow for visual interest without distracting from other details like the Mission Tile West Revival tile in Count Basie Blue or the Pottery Barn pendants with Edison bulbs. Caesarstone countertops in Calacatta Nuvo and Arto Brick hexagon floor tile along with the Stone Impressions tile mural and tin ceilings provide the classic touches and richness a Spanish-inspired kitchen needs while remaining sophisticated and elegant with a muted Dunn Edwards Swiss Coffee paint.

We brought the kitchen up to date with modern appliances while maintaining a timeless and tasteful tone in a relatively tiny space. What used to be a maid’s kitchen with a butler’s pantry and a sunporch now houses a wide open food preparation area and island, a large refrigerator, and six-burner range. White quartzite countertops, Wolf 6-burner range, walnut shelving, herringbone wood floors, barstools from McGuire. Photo credit: Eric Rorer

This Mediterranean style kitchen offers a warmth that is achieve due to the attention to details. The under-the-counter dried herb display is perfect for the ultimate chef kitchen. Zinc counter tops, copper details on the hood backsplash and island offer a mix of surfaces from both a visual and a culinary perspective, Pot fills, and foot pedals were incorporated by the designer. Plus many eclectic touches like the hand carved, claw feet on the hammered copper farmhouse sink. What fun!
