Maru Beauty Spa
Organic shapes dominate the design of this beauty salon, which, combined with the main colour of jade green, help to create the perception of fluid and open interiors. To evoke a natural environment and ameliorate the small footprint of the space, soft textures such as padded velvet walls and light woods were paired with more refined brass elements. Curves, rounded edges and flowing shapes are apparent in the fixtures and in the build – from the ceiling and mirrors to the lighting and custom-built cabinets – echoing a calming, womb-like ambience. A curation of designer furniture pieces from the likes of Kartell and FontanaArte was chosen to complement the peaceful mood of the salon while adding a touch of mid-century elegance. The resulting ambience is one of elevated calm, quietude, and relaxation – designed to put guests in a serene mental state to better receive their respective beauty and wellness treatments.
