Jorge Castillo Design Inc.
Jorge Castillo Designs, Inc. worked very closely with the Vail’s architect to create a contemporary home on top of the existing foundation. The end result was a bright and airy California style home with enough light to combat grey Ohio winters. We defined spaces within the open floor plan by implementing ceiling treatments, creating a well-planned lighting design, and adding other unique elements, including a floating staircase and aquarium.

We often describe this color palette as Chocolate and Vaniila. The challenge here was to create a comfortable, livable home from 3500 square feet of open space.

This historic room has been brought back to life! The room was designed to capitalize on the wonderful architectural features. The signature use of French and English antiques with a captivating over mantel mirror draws the eye into this cozy space yet remains, elegant, timeless and fresh

Looking down towards the game room from the home's great room. It's a 100+ year old barn, that was purchased by the clients, disassembled, cleaned and pressure treated, and reassembled at its new location. Antique farming implements adorn the walls.

This is a library we built last year that became a centerpiece feature in "The Classical American House" book by Phillip James Dodd. We are also featured on the back cover. Asked to replicate and finish to match with new materials, we built this 16' high room using only the original Gothic arches that were existing. All other materials are new and finished to match. We thank John Milner Architects for the opportunity and the results are spectacular.

We transformed this living/dining area which was a bit dark despite a large window, by painting one of the walls in a dark blue colour, while keeping the rest as they were, a zingy yellow/green and adding colourful furniture, a shaggy Berber rug and floor lamp with a large white shade, we created a vibrant, eye catching space which attracted a buyer on the first day of coming back on the market..
This detail shows the blue sofa, colourful cushion and a large floor lamp with white shade over the grey chair and glass side table.

This inviting living room is a showcase of contemporary charm, featuring a thoughtfully curated collection of furniture that exudes timeless style. Anchored by a captivating patterned rug, the furniture pieces come together in harmony, creating a cohesive and inviting atmosphere.
A striking entertainment unit seamlessly adjoins a fireplace, sharing its exquisite stone surround, which gracefully extends beneath the television. This design integration not only adds a touch of elegance but also serves as a central focal point, enhancing the room's aesthetic appeal.

This rural cottage in Northumberland was in need of a total overhaul, and thats exactly what it got! Ceilings removed, beams brought to life, stone exposed, log burner added, feature walls made, floors replaced, extensions built......you name it, we did it!
What a result! This is a modern contemporary space with all the rustic charm you'd expect from a rural holiday let in the beautiful Northumberland countryside. Book In now here: https://www.bridgecottagenorthumberland.co.uk/?fbclid=IwAR1tpc6VorzrLsGJtAV8fEjlh58UcsMXMGVIy1WcwFUtT0MYNJLPnzTMq0w

For this classic San Francisco William Wurster house, we complemented the iconic modernist architecture, urban landscape, and Bay views with contemporary silhouettes and a neutral color palette. We subtly incorporated the wife's love of all things equine and the husband's passion for sports into the interiors. The family enjoys entertaining, and the multi-level home features a gourmet kitchen, wine room, and ample areas for dining and relaxing. An elevator conveniently climbs to the top floor where a serene master suite awaits.
