Mon Concept HabitationOn vous présente enfin notre premier projet terminé réalisé à Aix-en-Provence. L’objectif de cette rénovation était de remettre au goût du jour l’ensemble de la maison sans réaliser de gros travaux.
Nous avons donc posé un nouveau parquet ainsi que des grandes dalles de carrelage imitation béton dans la cuisine. Toutes les peintures ont également été refaites, notamment avec ce bleu profond, fil conducteur de la rénovation que l’on retrouve dans le salon, la cuisine ou encore les chambres.
Les tons chauds des touches de jaune dans le salon et du parquet amènent une atmosphère de cocon chaleureux qui se prolongent encore une fois dans toute la maison comme dans la salle à manger et la cuisine avec le mobilier en bois.
La cuisine se voulait fonctionnelle et esthétique à la fois, nos clients ont donc été charmés par le concept des caissons Ikea couplés au façades Plum. Le résultat : une cuisine conviviale et personnalisée à l’image de nos clients.
Fiorito Interior DesignIt is sometimes a surprise what beauty can lurk under the surface of a room. A client with a 1970s kitchen and eat-in area cut up by an unwieldy peninsula was desperate for it to reflect her love of all things English-and-French-Manor-Home.
Working closely with my client, we removed the peninsula in favor of a lovely free-standing island that we painted a shade of French Blue. This is topped with Old World sink hardware (note the ceramic HOT and COLD medallions on the faucets!) and a gorgeous marble counter with a very special edge profile that evokes an antique French Boulangerie counter from the 1910s. Pendants with patinaed metal shades over the island further the charming Old World feel. Handmade white and blue tiles laid in a quilted diamond pattern cover the backsplash, and the remainder of the cabinetry at the perimeter is in a warm cream tone.
The eat-in near the fireplace got a cozy treatment with custom seat cushions and window seat bench cushions in a classic blue-and-white Toile de Jouy matching the island stools.
The nearby living room got a similar treatment. We removed dark wood paneling and dark carpeting in favor of a light sky blue wall and lighter wood flooring. A new rug with the appearance of an heirloom, a new grand-scaled sofa, and some of my client’s precious antiques helped take the room from 70s rec room to English Sitting Room.

Emilie Fournet InteriorsA dark living room was transformed into a cosy and inviting relaxing living room. The wooden panels were painted with the client's favourite colour and display their favourite pieces of art. The colour was inspired by the original Delft blue tiles of the fireplace.
Making Room for PeaceFor the painted brick wall, we decided to keep the decor fairly natural with pops of color via the plants and texture via the woven elements. Having the T.V. on the mantel place wasn’t ideal but it was practical. As mentioned, this is the where the family gathers to read, watch T.V. and to live life. The T.V. had to stay. Ideally, we had hoped to offset the T.V. a bit from the fireplace instead of having it directly above it but again functionality ruled over aesthetic as the cables only went so far. We made up for it by creating visual interest through Rebecca’s unique collection of pieces.
House of a Different ColorUpdate to bay window in front living room. Removed cushions and pillows and upholstered valance over the window. Added textured tile to the seat surface to coordinate with Spanish tile throughout the rest of the home. Added a real-wood faux beam (custom made, L-shaped beam made with solid pine, mounted over the corner of the bay window opening to mimic traditional, Spanish-style wood header beams to coordinate with the rest of the Spanish-style design elements in the home. Decorated with pet-friendly, custom, faux greenery arrangements in an eclectic array of pottery. High-end replica cacti and succulents were used for maximum realism, while removing any concern over pets getting into them. Hanging macrame cat bed in the center for family pets to lounge and enjoy their new, colorful container garden.

Квартира изначально была в плохом состоянии. Предстояло полностью обновить ее, но сохранить дух и атмосферу, которая присуща старым домам. В наследство от родителей, которые жили в этой квартире раньше, заказчику осталось много антикварной мебели. Кроме того, был и багаж собственных вещей, которые нужно было вписать в интерьер: большое количество книг, искусство, кое-что из мебели.
