Large Kitchen Island/Peninsula, with Ceiling Mounted Range Hood
The ceiling mounted range hood is by Miele. The kitchen is open to the dining room at left, and open to a breakfast area beyond.
A built-in, paneled Sub-Zero refrigerator is at right.
The cabinetry is made from quarter-sawn cherry veneer, with birdseye maple panels in the upper sections. The counter is Tortuga Granite, and features a waterfall, mitered end panel.
The grain of the Tortuga granite flows through the miter and down the end of the island--from the same slab.
The quarter-sawn cherry veneer matches vertically through the door and drawer panels.
