Behind the Tea House is a traditional Japanese raked garden. After much research we used bagged poultry grit in the raked garden. It had the perfect texture for raking. Gray granite cobbles and fashionettes were used for the border. A custom designed bamboo fence encloses the rear yard.

This peaceful Orchard was transformed into a space to sit and relax with the addition of a wildflower meadow. The brief set out the requirements of the retired couple who needed an easily managed space with areas for seating and entertaining, contemplation and relaxation. In spring the Orchard is full of flowering bulbs and in Autumn the apples are ready to harvest
