This double orangery extension in the midst of the beautiful rolling Devon countryside provided plenty of space for both living and dining – the best of both worlds. Effectively two orangery structures were expertly designed and joined together by David Salisbury’s most experienced sales designer, Simon Martin, each with their own signature dual roof lanterns, to allow in plenty of natural light. Combined with the windows all around, the result is a lovely light and open plan space to enjoy, whatever the occasion or time of year, with stunning panoramic views.

This cottage had been altered significantly over the years and had an extended area to the side of the formal lounge room. We dressed this area as a library/sunroom. The property, styled for sale in Monbulk, Victoria, sold within its first week on the market.

The modern garden wing very much represents the form and proportions of 17th Century Cotswolds; in design terms it is carefully crafted and provides a key room with a light and airy living space that invites the lush green Cotswolds landscape inside.
