This kitchen remodel was designed by Nicole from our Windham showroom. This remodel features Yorktowne Cabinets with Cherry wood Roma door style (raised panel) and peppercorn (grey) stain finish. It also features LG Viatera Quartz countertop with Aria color and ¼” round edge. The floor is 7 ½” wide planks from Bella Cera from Villa Bella Bergamo with two tone French Oak wood. The tile backsplash is 3x12” white subway tile from APE, Twilight mist mosaic tile accent from Bliss, and 1x12” white mini pencil tile from APE. Other features include Kohler white haven sink and Moen stainless faucet. The cabinet hardware is by Amerock with a variety of knobs and handles in brushed nickel.

Farmhouse style kitchen remodel. Our clients wanted to do a total refresh of their kitchen. We incorporated a warm toned vinyl flooring (Nuvelle Density Rigid Core in Honey Pecan"), two toned cabinets in a beautiful blue gray and cream (Diamond cabinets) granite countertops and a gorgeous gas range (GE Cafe Pro range). By overhauling the laundry and pantry area we were able to give them a lot more storage. We reorganized a lot of the kitchen creating a better flow specifically giving them a coffee bar station, cutting board station, and a new microwave drawer and wine fridge. Increasing the gas stove to 36" allowed the avid chef owner to cook without restrictions making his daily life easier. One of our favorite sayings is "I love it" and we are able to say thankfully we heard it a lot.

In this kitchen, Siteline Cabinetry in the Walton shaker door style with the Toffee stain finish was installed. The countertop is MSI Calacatta Valentin quartz with a standard edge treatment with a Transolid Stainless Steel Sink and Moen Spot Resist Stainless faucet. The tile backsplash is 3x12 irregular subway tile by Anatolia Marlow collection. An Elmwood Park collection pendant light over the island and a mini chandelier in Brushed Nickel. On the floor is 18x18 Flex Corinthia in the Amber color Luxury Vinyl Tile.

For this space we completely opened up the kitchen. It used to be a U-Shaped that made the client feel boxed in was dysfunctional. This particular client really enjoys cooking and uses their kitchen to its fullest potential. Our team removed a wall into the family room and added an island instead. We completely redid the cabinets to give the client more storage, we used Dekton, Calacatta Gold 2CM from Cosentino for the countertops. Above the kitchen sink we added a Bay Window to bring them out into their lush backyard and give them a greater sense of space. We purchased a Kitchen Aid cooktop and double wall oven to really add to the functionality of the kitchen and increase the clients overall productivity by giving them more room and the power of convection to create amazing recipes. For the sink we put in a Kholer Farmhouse sink in white that the client absolutely loved, it gave them ample space and really added to the overall beauty of the kitchen.

There are a huge variety of island designs to cater to different needs – you can have sinks, ovens, hobs, wine storage and all sorts of drawers and organisers built-in, you can have separate bars and counters that extend from your island, or you could go for a kitchen island on wheels to make your kitchen layout more versatile.

How do I choose my kitchen units and cabinets?

When picking out kitchen units and cupboard styles for a fitted kitchen, you’ll first want to consider the more practical questions – how many units do you need? How many cupboards and drawers do you need? Do you need extra kitchen storage built into your units? It’s always best to overestimate how much kitchen storage you’ll need as we all tend to have a habit of filling up whatever current space we have to the maximum. Next you can consider kitchen cabinet style and colour. Shaker style cabinets and raised and recessed panel cabinets offer a more traditional kitchen cabinet look, while flat panel cabinet doors tend to lend more to the modern and contemporary style. However, going for raised or recessed panel work in a striking colour such as dark blue, green or black can still work with contemporary kitchen ideas. White kitchens can give a sleek and clean feel, but remember you may have to do a bit more cleaning of those cupboard doors if you want everything to stay shiny and fresh. You can also look at corner drawers and cupboards that open up to reveal lots of extra storage. What sort of kitchen lighting should I go for?
