При реализации проекта мы изменили некоторые цветовые акценты на очень интересный оттенок кораллового 2019 года. Он одновременно и яркий, и не вызывающий, отлично сочетается как с серыми тонами, так и с ярким муралом на стене от Маши Ревы и принтом на обивке стульев от Йовы Ягер, разработанным совместно с художницей Настей Птичек в рамках социального проекта "Жили-Були". Хорошо, что хозяйка квартиры разделила нашу любовь к этим иллюстрациям, а также обладает ярким внутренним миром, потому что мы разыгрались не на шутку! В проекте дизайна этого не было, но, кажется, именно такие моменты создают особый дух. Кстати, на стене нарисованы владелица квартиры с друзьями! Напольное покрытие в прихожей, на кухне в в гостиной зоне — покрытие Terazzo с вкраплениями в виде камушков кораллового и темно-зеленого цвета. Основной связующей фишкой дизайна являются округленные формы, которые можно проследить во всех помещениях квартиры! Главная изюминка кухни — раковина и сушка, которые в любой момент можно закрыть (или спрятать) раздвижной системой! Вся зона готовки вынесена на островок со столешницей из кварца — там плита и вытяжка над ней. Остров плавно переходит в обеденную зону с барными стульями от украинских дизайнеров. Кстати, освещение по всей квартире также преимущественно полностью от украинского производителя Fild! Стандартные белые оконные рамы мы решили разнообразить откосами того самого необычного кораллового оттенка. Окна как будто выступают за пределы квартиры за счет этих самых откосов.

Direction le nord de la France, à Marcq-en Baroeul. Ce projet a été conçu par l’architecte d’intérieur Sacha Guiset et réalisé par notre agence Lilloise. Dans cette jolie maison rénovée partiellement, l’objectif était de donner un nouveau souffle au rez-de-chaussée en l’inscrivant dans l’air du temps et en apportant un maximum de lumière. La circulation de l’entrée, la pièce de vie et la cuisine ont été repensées dans leur globalité afin que chaque pièce ait une fonction bien précise. Dans l’entrée, l’accès direct au séjour a été condamné et remplacé par une jolie fenêtre avec cadre en chêne qui donne sur le séjour et laisse passer la lumière. L’imposte qui se trouvait à proximité de la cuisine a été récupéré et utilisé pour créer une superbe porte verrière réalisée sur mesure par notre menuisier. Sacha a pensé la cuisine comme un espace familial et agréable en L. L’îlot central avec plaque et hotte intégrée permet de fluidifier la circulation et de cuisiner tout en gardant un œil sur le séjour. Quant au coin repas réalisé dans le prolongement de l’îlot il apporte un côté convivial et pratique à la pièce. On aime l’association des modules IKEA et façades en MDF plaqué chêne, du plan de travail en quartz silestone et de la crédence effet zellige rouge terreux qui vient réchauffer l’ensemble. Sans oublier l’attention accordée au détail des poignées de placards en demi-lunes noires, qui font échos aux cadres des fenêtres, aux chaises en bois et aux appliques Zangra. Dans le séjour, Sacha a remplacé l’initial poêle à bois par un insert d’angle axé sur le salon, intégré à une banquette basse réalisée sur mesure pour ajouter du rangement. Côté déco, Sacha a opté pour des objets et coussins aux teintes terreuses qui contrastent avec le blanc et apportent de la chaleur à l’intérieur.

March 2020 marked the launch of LIVDEN, a curated line of innovative decorative tiles made from 60-100% recycled materials. In the months leading up to our launch, we were approached by Palm Springs design firm, Juniper House, for a collaboration on one of the featured homes of 2020 Modernism Week, the Mesa Modern. The LUNA series in the Medallion color on 12x12 Crystallized Terrazzo tile was featured as the main kitchen's backsplash. The LUNA was paired with matte black cabinetry, brass hardware, and custom mid-century lighting installations. The main kitchen was packed with color, texture and modern design elements.

This Spanish influenced Modern Farmhouse style Kitchen incorporates a variety of textures and finishes to create a calming and functional space to entertain a houseful of guests. The extra large island is in an historic Sherwin Williams green with banquette seating at the end. It provides ample storage and countertop space to prep food and hang around with family. The surrounding wall cabinets are a shade of white that gives contrast to the walls while maintaining a bright and airy feel to the space. Matte black hardware is used on all of the cabinetry to give a cohesive feel. The countertop is a Cambria quartz with grey veining that adds visual interest and warmth to the kitchen that plays well with the white washed brick backsplash. The brick backsplash gives an authentic feel to the room and is the perfect compliment to the deco tile behind the range. The pendant lighting over the island and wall sconce over the kitchen sink add a personal touch and finish while the use of glass globes keeps them from interfering with the open feel of the space and allows the chandelier over the dining table to be the focal lighting fixture.

You can add a breakfast bar or counter to your existing kitchen units, or stick with a good old-fashioned dining table if you don’t need the extra work surfaces. There are a huge variety of island designs to cater to different needs – you can have sinks, ovens, hobs, wine storage and all sorts of drawers and organisers built-in, you can have separate bars and counters that extend from your island, or you could go for a kitchen island on wheels to make your kitchen layout more versatile.

How do I choose my kitchen units and cabinets?

When picking out kitchen units and cupboard styles for a fitted kitchen, you’ll first want to consider the more practical questions – how many units do you need? How many cupboards and drawers do you need? Do you need extra kitchen storage built into your units? It’s always best to overestimate how much kitchen storage you’ll need as we all tend to have a habit of filling up whatever current space we have to the maximum. Next you can consider kitchen cabinet style and colour. Shaker style cabinets and raised and recessed panel cabinets offer a more traditional kitchen cabinet look, while flat panel cabinet doors tend to lend more to the modern and contemporary style. However, going for raised or recessed panel work in a striking colour such as dark blue, green or black can still work with contemporary kitchen ideas. White kitchens can give a sleek and clean feel, but remember you may have to do a bit more cleaning of those cupboard doors if you want everything to stay shiny and fresh. Of course, grey kitchens are the neutral colour choice du jour and can be paired with pale and rich shades alike if you want your fitted kitchen cupboards to contrast with your worktop, splashback, floor, or all of the above. You can also look at corner drawers and cupboards that open up to reveal lots of extra storage. Kitchen ideas and accessories such as baskets, trolleys and storage jars are both aesthetically pleasing and practical as they give you extra storage space.
