J.P. Hoffman Design BuildThese homeowners came to J.P. Hoffman Design Build, looking for a creative solution to a problem they were told couldn’t be fixed. We defied the odds with our Design Build process and redesigned most of this Colonial’s first floor. Space for an island was number one on the want list. In order to achieve that goal, we did what we always do, We listened. We listened to what our client needed, how they used their space and how they envisioned their space. Then we designed a creative solution that made that seemingly unachievable vision, a reality. We removed the wall between the dining room and kitchen and expanded the kitchen cabinets into the hallway, once used to access the bathroom and garage. We simply re-routed the flow to the garage, through the now opened-up dining room, and in the process, created a new hallway with a coat closet, mudroom bench and access to the powder room which we also refreshed. In the kitchen, we relocated the slider leading out to the deck. This allowed for more cabinets and the floor space for that dream island. Our carpentry team installed a new kitchen window and slider, while modifying the existing deck to allow for the change. We installed new flooring, cabinets, countertops, plumbing fixtures and more. We receive lots of inquires about increasing function within the first floor. This project is a fantastic example of how it can be achieved, without an addition.
Kenman Design Group, LLCThis home is located outside of Sacramento, CA on several acres and is home to my friends Welsh Pony Farm. So, as the farmhouse style is pretty trendy, we really let the surroundings drive the choices and overall design.
CARNEMARK design + buildA couple in Washington, DC enlisted our help in renovating their aging kitchen. The clients sought a highly-functional modern design that wouldn’t detract from the historic nature of their prewar apartment, or distract from the beautiful views of the park.

Design Studio WestStep into a kitchen that exudes both modern sophistication and inviting warmth. The space is anchored by a stunning natural quartzite countertop, its veined patterns reminiscent of a sun-drenched landscape. The countertop stretches across the kitchen, gracing both the perimeter cabinetry and the curved island, its gentle curves adding a touch of dynamism to the layout.
White oak cabinetry provides a grounding contrast to the cool quartzite. The rich, natural grain of the wood, paired with a crisp white paint, create a sense of airiness and visual lightness. This interplay of textures and tones adds depth and dimension to the space.
Breaking away from the traditional rectilinear lines, the island features curved panels that echo the countertop's gentle sweep. This unexpected detail adds a touch of whimsy and softens the overall aesthetic. The warm vinyl flooring complements the wood cabinetry, creating a sense of continuity underfoot.
Castle Building & RemodelingHomeowners in Richfield came to Castle looking to update their 1956 Kitchen in their ranch style home. The goal was to keep the same U-Shaped footprint of the kitchen while maximizing the cabinet layout configuration. The overall transformation is stunning.
One major adjustment was installing the upper cabinets to the ceiling. This draws your eyes up and gives the room a larger feel with the added storage that was previously nonexistent. The java color stained Crystal Cabinets are balanced with clean polished nickel hardware.
Another part of the project that was important to the homeowners was lighting. The existing configuration was dark, with very little over head light or task lighting. With adding in disc LED light fixtures in the ceiling, decorative pendant and wall sconce lighting over the sink, the space now is light and bright even with selecting darker finishes.
To top off this project, Designer Tracy O’Donnell curated a gorgeous tile feature above the farmhouse sink. The picture framed Carrara marble herringbone mosaic tile features natural colors that play off the countertop and warmth of the cabinets beautifully. Overall, the homeowners couldn’t be happier with how it all turned out!

Maya Salfati DesignsThis future rental property has been completely refurbished with a newly constructed extension. Bespoke joinery, lighting design and colour scheme were carefully thought out to create a sense of space and elegant simplicity to appeal to a wide range of future tenants.

Newcastle Kitchen & Bedroom CoPart of a multi-room project consisting of: kitchen, utility, media furniture, entrance hall and master bedroom furniture, situated within a modern renovation of a traditional stone built lodge on the outskirts of county Durham. the clean lines of our contemporary linear range of furniture -finished in pale grey and anthracite, provide a minimalist feel while contrasting elements emulating reclaimed oak add a touch of warmth and a subtle nod to the property’s rural surroundings.
Touchdown TileThis project was a complete kitchen remodel where we came in to install the kitchen backsplash tile. This tile is a glass mosaic tile with a light shade to it.
