The kitchen in this remodeled 1960s house is colour-blocked against a blue panelled wall which hides a pantry. White quartz worktop bounces dayight around the kitchen. Geometric splash back adds interest. The encaustic tiles are handmade in Spain. The U-shape of this kitchen creates a "peninsula" which is used daily for preparing food but also doubles as a breakfast bar.

Notice the end panel detailing on the Shaker-style, custom cabinets. A legrand electrical outlet (three-prong) that pops out with light pressure can be seen at the end of the peninsula - its' finish is consistent with other surfaces and fixtures. The outlet's location allows users of any height and ability to access it, which equates with proper universal design. Photo: Dan Bawden.

This traditional country kitchen remodel by our Lafayette studio showcases a charming aesthetic with classic elements. The clean apron sink and farmhouse faucet perfectly complement the white custom cabinetry and ceramic tile backsplash, while the contrasting range hood adds a touch of sophistication. The kitchen peninsula provides bar stool seating and built-in wine storage, making it perfect for entertaining. With its blend of style and functionality, this kitchen is the heart of the home.

Located in Old Seagrove, FL, this 1980's beach house was is steps away from the beach and a short walk from Seaside Square. Working with local general contractor, Corestruction, the existing 3 bedroom and 3 bath house was completely remodeled. Additionally, 3 more bedrooms and bathrooms were constructed over the existing garage and kitchen, staying within the original footprint. This modern coastal design focused on maximizing light and creating a comfortable and inviting home to accommodate large families vacationing at the beach. The large backyard was completely overhauled, adding a pool, limestone pavers and turf, to create a relaxing outdoor living space.

Dramatic tile and contrasting cabinet pulls, proved that this chic petite kitchen wasn’t afraid to have fun. The creative peninsula full of personality and functionality offers not only visual interest but a place to prepare meals, wash, and dine all in one.
A bold patterned tile backsplash, rising to the role of the main focal point, does the double trick of punching up the white cabinets and making the ceiling feel even higher. New Appliances, double-duty accents, convenient open shelving and sleek lighting solutions, take full advantage of this kitchen layout.
Fresh white upper cabinets, Deep brown lowers full of texture, a brilliant blue dining wall and lively tile fill this small kitchen with big style.

This kitchen remodel's biggest change was raising the ceiling. In doing so the new design successfully created a more open space with clean lines complimenting the new contemporary space. The cabinets were replaced with new cabinets from Starmark Cabinetry. They are Starmark's Hudson door style in maple wood with a tinted varnish nickel glaze finish. The pulls are from Richelieu, which go perfect with all the stainless steel appliances and fixtures. The contrasting countertops are from Pental Quartz called Avalon and look stunning in this space. The backsplash in Bedrosians Eclipse eternity linear glass mosaic tile, which really ties all the colors together. All in all this remodel really transformed this kitchen.

A load bearing support column was concealed and worked into the design by wrapping it with custom cabinetry millwork which was mirrored on the opposing side to create symmetry. The columns are now the bookends to beautiful double-sided glass cabinets which offer a display case for the client's china and help to keep the open feel. The custom wood hood and backsplash tile are the focal point of the adjacent wall.
