Can't you just imagine cooking over an open fire in this fabulously open kitchen?!
Katz Builders, Inc.
Celine Coly www.livingwithchic.com This home is located on Lake Austin and the exterior of the home is stucco with clean lines. Lots of windows allow the fabulous view at the back of the home to be the main art filtering from one room to the next. When the owners purchased this home, their vision was to brighten it up and to make it light and airy. The original home used dark colors and created the Texas Hill Country Tuscan "want to be" decor. Budget was an issue and rather than tear out the cabinets throughout the home we had them painted and used the color to anchor all the other colors we used throughout the home. Celine Coly, interior designer and homeowner worked hand and glove selecting hardwood flooring, tile, plumbing fixtures, etc. to make it all come together while staying within the budget.

Double island concept keeps the cook from being crowded by guests and allows plenty of room to spread out guests and food. The suspended soffit helps make high ceilings more interesting by breaking up the empty space above the direct sight line of upper cabinets.

This was a make-ready project of a 19 year old suburban home that had some deferred maintenance. On the outside we re-painted the exterior and repaired some siding, we replaced some overly worn parts of the roof and provided general maintenance, we re-finished the front door, cleaned up the deck, and re-landscaped the yards. On the inside we touch up the paint and repainted a few rooms, we repaired the lamate flooring, replaced the carpet, and replaced the polished brass hardware, lights, and plumbing.

A symmetrical kitchen opens to the family room in this open floor plan. The island provides a thick wood eating ledge with a dekton work surface. A grey accent around the cooktop is split by the metallic soffit running through the space. A smaller work kitchen/open pantry is off to one side for additional prep space.

We are proud to present this breath-taking kitchen design that blends traditional and modern elements to create a truly unique and personal space.
Upon entering, the Crittal-style doors reveal the beautiful interior of the kitchen, complete with a bespoke island that boasts a curved bench seat that can comfortably seat four people. The island also features seating for three, a Quooker tap, AGA oven, and a rounded oak table top, making it the perfect space for entertaining guests. The mirror splashback adds a touch of elegance and luxury, while the traditional high ceilings and bi-fold doors allow plenty of natural light to flood the room.
The island is not just a functional space, but a stunning piece of design as well. The curved cupboards and round oak butchers block are beautifully complemented by the quartz worktops and worktop break-front. The traditional pilasters, nickel handles, and cup pulls add to the timeless feel of the space, while the bespoke serving tray in oak, integrated into the island, is a delightful touch.
Designing for large spaces is always a challenge, as you don't want to overwhelm or underwhelm the space. This kitchen is no exception, but the designers have successfully created a space that is both functional and beautiful. Each drawer and cabinet has its own designated use, and the dovetail solid oak draw boxes add an elegant touch to the overall bespoke kitchen.
Each design is tailored to the household, as the designers aim to recreate the period property's individual character whilst mixing traditional and modern kitchen design principles. Whether you're a home cook or a professional chef, this kitchen has everything you need to create your culinary masterpieces.
This kitchen truly is a work of art, and I can't wait for you to see it for yourself! Get ready to be inspired by the beauty, functionality, and timeless style of this bespoke kitchen, designed specifically for your household.

total gut and rebuild to expand a kitchen footprint into the dining room and create a huge cooking and entertaining space.
We removed the load bearing wall that separated the dining and kitchen area and installed an engineered beam in the ceiling to carry the load and open up the space.
Relocating the sink, oven range and electrical enabled us to restructure and give our clients the kitchen of their dreams.
This eclectic design features:
✨ Cambria Harlech quartz countertops which have sophisticated, rich coppers and golds dancing behind a dramatic dark brown copper vein paired with a stainless steel subway tile backsplash for a modern industrial style edge
✨ Floor to ceiling elevated Shaker style cabinetry with beadboard accent, a decorative venthood and butcher block island with ornate legs giving this space lots of personality
✨ All the bells & whistles for the home chef - microwave drawer in the butcher block prep island with trash can drawer, 6 burner professional range with pot filler and high powered range hood above and a huge single basin apron front sink.
This collaboration of modern features, traditional elements and industrial-inspired accents was blended just right to create a sophisticated kitchen that's also warm and inviting.
