Before renovating, this bright and airy family kitchen was small, cramped and dark. The dining room was being used for spillover storage, and there was hardly room for two cooks in the kitchen. By knocking out the wall separating the two rooms, we created a large kitchen space with plenty of storage, space for cooking and baking, and a gathering table for kids and family friends. The dark navy blue cabinets set apart the area for baking, with a deep, bright counter for cooling racks, a tiled niche for the mixer, and pantries dedicated to baking supplies. The space next to the beverage center was used to create a beautiful eat-in dining area with an over-sized pendant and provided a stunning focal point visible from the front entry. Touches of brass and iron are sprinkled throughout and tie the entire room together.

Organized drawers, like these. make cooking easier. These great cooks needed a space that allowed for entertaining and multiple work zones. Storage was optimized and is efficient with pull-outs and dividers. The kitchen has almost doubled in size and now includes two dishwashers for easy clean up. Lighting was appointed with sparkling pendants, task lighting under cabinets and even the island has a soft glow. A happy space with room to work and entertain. Their family expanded, and so did their home! After nearly 30 years residing in the same home they raised their children, this wonderful couple made the decision to tear down the walls and create one great open kitchen family room and dining space, partially expanding 10 feet out into their backyard. The result: a beautiful open concept space geared towards family gatherings and entertaining.

Open shelving and an antique hutch found on craigslist and re-designed (shape modified, crown moulding added, painted) store all the necessary acoutrements for serving food. Lighting was pieced together from Schoolhouse electric, recycled fixtures from a Whole Foods, and it was re-fitted and refinished by a local hardware company - Hippo Hardware in Portland. Dura Supreme Cabinetry
This beautiful lake house kitchen design was created by Kim D. Hoegger at Kim Hoegger Home in Rockwell, Texas mixing two-tones of Dura Supreme Cabinetry. Designer Kim Hoegger chose a rustic Knotty Alder wood species with a dark patina stain for the lower base cabinets and kitchen island and contrasted it with a Classic White painted finish for the wall cabinetry above.
This unique and eclectic design brings bright light and character to the home.

David Reeve Architectural Photography; The Village of Chevy Chase is an eclectic mix of early-20th century homes, set within a heavily-treed romantic landscape. The Zantzinger Residence reflects the spirit of the period: it is a center-hall dwelling, but not quite symmetrical, and is covered with large-scale siding and heavy roof overhangs. The delicately-columned front porch sports a Chippendale railing.
The family needed to update the home to meet its needs: new gathering spaces, an enlarged kitchen, and a Master Bedroom suite. The solution includes a two story addition to one side, balancing an existing addition on the other. To the rear, a new one story addition with one continuous roof shelters an outdoor porch and the kitchen.
The kitchen itself is wrapped in glass on three sides, and is centered upon a counter-height table, used for both food preparation and eating. For daily living and entertaining, it has become an important center to the house.

Before Siemasko + Verbridge got their hands on this house, it was a convoluted maze of small rooms and skinny hallways. The renovation made sense of the layout, and took full advantage of the captivating ocean views. The result is a harmonious blend of contemporary style with classic and sophisticated elements. The “empty nest” home is transformed into a welcoming sanctuary for the extended family of kids and grandkids.

This great home in Bent Tree, with stunning golf course views, was a delightful project! Due to unfortunate water damage, we were given the opportunity to redesign a beautiful dining room, kitchen and breakfast area in the coastal style this couple has enjoyed for decades. We were able to embrace all of the things they love: fine materials such as marble, the clean transitional aesthetic and light and bright areas. Our clients’ favorite color, blue, was strategically incorporated throughout the spaces in varying tones to create depth and interest. The kitchen was expanded to ensure functionality and provide oodles of storage. This peaceful and inviting retreat will surely be enjoyed for many years to come.

This sage green shaker kitchen perfectly combines crisp fresh colours and clean lines. This beautiful design is expertly planned and zoned to ensure everything is easy to reach, open storage creates a soft and beautiful kitchen ideal for everyday living.
While the open storage takes care of the beautiful pieces you like to display, the hidden storage looks after the more practical aspects of a busy kitchen. We have incorporated an impressive pantry cabinet into this kitchen that holds a huge amount of food and all the necessary store cupboard staples.
