This expansive butlers pantry is directly off the gourmet kitchen and seperated by a large archway, itself containing recess storage and a builtin coffee station. The pantry contains tall china cabinets for the homeowners dishes and serving pieces as well as ample counterspace and addtional storage. The space began as a 2-car garage. After months of renovation, it is now a gourmet kitchen. The focal point is the hood made from a reclaimed warehouse beam and finished with a copper top and placed on stone and glass mosaic tile. The island is large enough to accomadate seating and provide plenty of room for prepping. Adjoining the space is a large butlers pantry and bar and a home office space. Tall cabinetry flank the cooking wall and provide easy access storage to pots and pans as well as small appliance storage. Kitchen Remodel highlights a spectacular mix of finishes bringing this transitional kitchen to life. A balance of wood and painted cabinetry for this Millennial Couple offers their family a kitchen that they can share with friends and family. The clients were certain what they wanted in their new kitchen, they choose Dacor appliances and specially wanted a refrigerator with furniture paneled doors. The only company that would create these refrigerator doors are a full eclipse style without a center bar was a custom cabinet company Ovation Cabinetry. The client had a clear vision about the finishes including the rich taupe painted cabinets which blend perfect with the glam backsplash.

This Victorian old house from the beginning of the previous century had to keep its exterior look, but the interior went through a dramatic change and brought it into our era. The first floor of the house was completely transformed into a huge open space, which by doing that already gave it a modern feeling around. The use of modern laminate door style in different colors had emphasized the contemporary style that was brought in with so much elegancy together with the light wood floors and light counter tops. The island was given a sculpture look to create a nice focal point for the kitchen where the cooking preparation is mostly taking place at. Door Style Finish: Alno Look, laminate door style, in the graphite, yellow and magnolia white colors finish.

: This kitchen required a major remodel. The existing space was as unattractive as it was nonfunctional. Old non-working appliances, a dead-end space with no flow to adjacent rooms, poor lighting, and a sewer line running through the middle of the cabinets. Instead of being a haven for this working couple and extended family, the space was a nightmare. The designer was retained to create spaces for family gatherings to enjoy cooking and baking, provide storage for daily needs as well as bulk good storage and allow the kitchen to be the center piece of the home with improved access and flow throughout. Additions to the Wishlist were a mud room, laundry (not in the garage) and a place for the cats. A small addition created enough room to accommodate an island/peninsula layout suitable for baking and casual eating, a large range, generous storage both below and above the countertop. A full-size microwave convection oven built into the island provides additional baking capacity. Dish storage is in a customized drawer to make access easier for the petite client. A large framed pantry for food and essentials is located next to the island/peninsula. The old closet which contained the water meter and shut off valves now provides storage for brooms, vacuum cleaners, cleaning supplies and bulk goods. The ceiling heights in the entire home were low so in the addition a vaulted ceiling aligning with adjacent sunroom visually opened the room. This reimagined room is now the heart of the home.

Modern scale with fixtures and materials kept very clean and streamlined add to the overall aesthetic. Open upper cabinets without heavy cornicing help to make the space feel very airy. The natural color scheme (grey/green limestone, green glass tile) keep the feeling of serenity in this kitchen. This is a transitional kitchen, as it uses custom cherry cabinets in a shaker style (traditional) but has modern detailing (glass tile, limestone countertops in seagrass by Walker Zanger, glass front cabinets without mullions, no heavy cornicing or architectural detailing to the cabinetry).
