Qualche tempo fa ci contattò una giovane coppia alle prime armi con l’acquisto e la ristrutturazione interna di un appartamento. Durante il primo incontro capimmo subito che le idee erano chiarissime: volevano una cucina sospesa completamente bianca, il pavimento effetto legno ed una illuminazione led d’effetto. Inutile dire che a noi le sfide piacciono decisamente tanto.

Three small rooms were demolished to enable a new kitchen and open plan living space to be designed. The kitchen has a drop-down ceiling to delineate the space. A window became french doors to the garden. The former kitchen was re-designed as a mudroom. The laundry had new cabinetry. New flooring throughout. A linen cupboard was opened to become a study nook with dramatic wallpaper. Custom ottoman were designed and upholstered for the drop-down dining and study nook. A family of five now has a fantastically functional open plan kitchen/living space, family study area, and a mudroom for wet weather gear and lots of storage.

Home is about sharing, yet it's also an outlet, and I design it so that my clients can feel they could be anywhere when they are at Home. Those quiet corners where you can rest and reflect are essential even for a few minutes; The texture of wood, the plants, and the small touches like the rolled-up towels help set the mood.
