The homeowner wanted to get rid of her existing kitchen desk that was rarely used while also preserving the granite. We recommended adding drawers. Now the additional storage space serves to hold larger pots and small appliances.

Photo by Jody Dole This charming farmhouse sits atop a grassy hill overlooking a serene Connecticut River Estuary. The new design reformulated the first floor plan making it much more functional and visually exciting. It encompassed the reorganization of multiple spaces including the Mudroom, Kitchen, Dining Room, Family Room, Sun Room, Laundry, Bathroom, and Master Closet. The design also added, deleted, and relocated windows and French doors to greatly enhance exterior views, draw in more natural light, and seamlessly upgrade the articulation of exterior elevations. Improvements to the plumbing and mechanical systems were also made. The overall feeling is both sophisticated and yet very much down to earth. John R. This kitchen was designed with "keeping it open" in mind. We knocked down walls to open up the kitchen into the dining area. The cabinets and finishes have been updated for a fresh and modern appeal. The client loves entertaining, so having the space for traffic movement was essential.

Photo credit: Deanna Onan Builder: Duncan Wills Builder This art deco home is in a unique location with stunning views of the lake. The homeowners entertain frequently and needed a larger kitchen that the original so walls were moved to create a dream kitchen for this talented cook. There is a dedicated zone for baking, cooking and making yummy coffees. To reference the art deco era, the kitchen has inlays of art deco motifs in the rear of the walnut cabinets and the range is built in a ziggurat shaped cabinet. With five bedrooms, this housed needed three bathrooms, so walls moved to make room for them and the ensuite bathroom features a freestanding bath and custom mirror cabinet. We spent a year planning these unique design details and now that work is completed, the planning process shines with these focal points
