Welcome to your newly remodeled kitchen, where classic design meets modern functionality. The cabinetry features Rejuvenation knobs and pulls in aged brass, with the Massey round cabinet knobs and Massey drawer pulls adding a touch of elegance to the space. This is a photo of my own kitchen which I remodeled in stages. When I moved in in 2015 I replaced the appliances with Stainless Steel Professional appliances: a Bosch oven and dishwasher, a Kitchenaid induction cooktop, a Vinotemp wine fridge, a whirlpool microwave, a Samsung 4 door flex fridge, a deep sink with a Delta Leeland faucet and an insta-hot. Then more recently I redid the countertops using Calacutta Gold quartz countertops on the countertop and backsplash and one "waterfall" down the side as you see in the photo. I also installed vinyl wood look flooring - which I believe is better than wood for kitchens as vinyl is totally waterproof.

The previous two-tiered peninsula was bulky and separated the cook from dining area. Replacing with a one level peninsula, large apron front sink and gorgeous brass faucet make the space feel more open, spacious and introduces extra seating and counterspace. Calcatta gold drapes the countertops and backsplash and a spark of black and brass complete this sleek design.

This Rangemaster Nexus SE 110 induction looks great in this contemporary Shaker kitchen. The inset handles are our bespoke handle range and they come in a wide variety of finishes. The false chimney hides an integrated extractor, and the freestanding shelves on either side keep the wall from looking too cramped. The shelves are painted in French Grey Mid by Little Greene whilst the cabinets are in Ho Ho Green.

This family home belongs to a wonderful family with 2 children and a dog. The original kitchen was very angular and separate from the dining and living spaces while open to an area that was used as a kids play space. By taking away the angles and opening up the kitchen to the dining area we created an open-plan kitchen dining living area with easy access to the exterior. We used Arctic White Gloss Melamine for the under bench and tall cupboards and Supreme Oak Puregrain Melamine for the overhead cupboards. The Oak adds warmth and appeal The White Ice Engineered Stone was used on the Benchtop as well as Splashback. It is crisp without being pure white and adds subtle interest. The layout allows for a zone for coffee making, cooking and preparation as well as cleaning. This was of great importance to the clients, as when family are visiting they all cook together.

For this kitchen remodeling project, the homeowners were looking to make their kitchen more functional. We accomplished this by removing a few walls which really opened the space for them. We tore out the old kitchen cabinets and installed all new cabinets in a birch Catalina door. The kitchen cabinets were done in a painted white color while the island was done in a slate color. Next, we installed a new Quartz countertop and backsplash in Calacatta Gold. To finish the new look, we added a new luxury vinyl plank floor. Now this homeowner has the kitchen of their dreams.

How do I choose my kitchen units and cabinets?

It’s always best to overestimate how much kitchen storage you’ll need as we all tend to have a habit of filling up whatever current space we have to the maximum. Next you can consider kitchen cabinet style and colour. Shaker style cabinets and raised and recessed panel cabinets offer a more traditional kitchen cabinet look, while flat panel cabinet doors tend to lend more to the modern and contemporary style. However, going for raised or recessed panel work in a striking colour such as dark blue, green or black can still work with contemporary kitchen ideas. White kitchens can give a sleek and clean feel, but remember you may have to do a bit more cleaning of those cupboard doors if you want everything to stay shiny and fresh.
