Designed by Catherine Neitzey of Reico Kitchen & Bath in Fredericksburg, VA in collaboration with Heritage Contracting Services, this transitional style inspired two-finish kitchen design features Merillat Classic Tolani Maple Kona and Merillat Masterpiece Montresano with Aged Picket Fence finish cabinets. The bathroom also features Tolani Maple Kona cabinetry. The kitchen includes an Imagery Glass Mosaic 3x6 in Rain material Glass GM07412 tile backsplash. “We walked into Reico without an appointment, because 2 friends highly recommended them. We were warmly greeted by Cat, even without an appointment,” said the client. “Cat listened, and then pulled out samples as she guided us patiently through the process. She brought to our attention a cabinet larger than the actual area in our plan. We were able to adjust before it was ordered. Her guidance, suggestions and attention to our likes and dislikes proved to be invaluable.” “This project was remodeling a basement to add to a multi-generation home with an eye on creating a space to enjoy,” said Cat. “I hit it off with the client right away, meeting prior to selecting a contractor which changed the dynamic of our roles for the duration of the project.” The client added, “One of the best services Reico provided was computer generated visuals. It helped us see what the overall look would be. The kitchen and bathroom are beyond our expectations. We love the look and the flow!” “We changed the wall cabinet color as the space started to come together with all of the supporting selections made,” said Cat. “The Aged Picket Fence painted finish with its artisan random distressing contrasts the contemporary base cabinets and glass tile in the best way. E' stata studiata e realizzata una piccola penisola con piano a induzione e zona breakfast, grigia e in contrasto con la cucina esistente total white, e un nuovo pensile con sviluppo longitudinale e anta unica da aprire a ribalta. Il fondo della cucina è stato realizzato con carta da parati adatto a zone umide, color ocra, che richiama i tessuti dell'area living, creando un collegamento visivo armonioso tra le due aree e conferendo continuità all'intero spazio abitativo.

So this customer has a beautiful gray granite countertop. I mean gorgeous! And lets add that it probably was quite the investment during one of their remodels. Many times, homeowners think they will upgrade the countertops to stone and it will transform the kitchen. Not the case. It typically makes the kitchen look even worse. So what do we do now? Cabinet refacing really got this homeowner out of a pickle! You can't move a granite countertop, it will most likely crack at its weakest point. Cabinet refacing is the only answer, unless you want to throw away a perfectly good and loved granite countertop. This homeowner chose our new color, Barnwood for her refacing project. Why not? it's pretty, trendy and rich. Really adds character to this kitchen design. The black floors made it a sophisticated design and balances the room perfectly. Every room should have 1 black component in it--choosing the floors was genius. You can always brighten up with decor items, like red or orange to add a touches of color. Bold and beautiful! David Reeve Architectural Photography; This early 1910's stucco Cleveland Park house, located in the shadow of National Cathedral, has been transformed though a three-story addition and interior renovation with a modern touch. A sleek kitchen by Bulthaup, sheathed in oak, stainless steel, granite and glass sets the tone for the re-shaped Dining Room and new Family Room. This space spills out onto a screened porch and open deck. Upstairs, new and old come together in the Master Bedroom suite, which incorporates a wood, glass and stone bathroom. Due to its age and condition, the house had to undergo significant repairs and reconstruction, including excavating for a full-height basement, repair and replacement of significant amounts of plaster and trim, and installation of new mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. This project was awarded the "Best of Architectural Spaces" by Washington SPACES magazine.
