Complete refurbishment including a new ground floor façade and new subterranean basement extension to a mews house in South Kensington. To introduce more daylight to the ground floor and basement, bespoke motorised vertical timber shutters were designed to control light, privacy, and view into the ground floor while respecting the elevational language of the mews. The fully movable shutters along the front elevation allowed natural light into the open plan ground floor living-kitchen-dining as well as the basement.

Large Victorian family home undergoes a bold stylish redecoration with well crafted oak floors throughout, Whitehall Park N19 Ebony oiled engineered oak Our customers wanted to refresh their large Victorian family home in the Whitehall Park Conservation Area with stylish redecoration and a brand new oak floor. They explained how after researching online they selected Fin Wood because of our attention to detail and the high quality service we provide. This whole house project involved installing a new oak floor in a large bay fronted living room, a bright open plan kitchen diner, a large master bedroom suite, three further bedrooms, a study and all the landings. We fitted engineered oak boards oiled with Osmo ebony oil. The customer preferred a slightly darker colour throughout the property and chose bold print wallpaper and colours to differentiate rooms.

Das Mehrfamilienhaus mit 5 Wohneinheiten grenzt sich zur Straße auf der Nordseite und zur Nachbarbebauung auf der Ostseite hin ab und öffnet sich nach Süden und Westen zum Grün der rückwärtigen Gärten des Wohnkarrees. Eine vertikale Staffelung unterstützt die Abgrenzung zu den östlichen Gebäuden. Zurückgesetzte Loggien ermöglichen Privatsphäre innerhalb der Wohneinheiten. Das zurückgesetzte Dachgeschoss gliedert die Baumasse zusätzlich, wodruch ein angenehm gestaffeltes Bauvolumen entsteht, der den monotonen Wohnbauten in der Umgebung entgegen steht. Eine Holzschalung aus vertikalen Latten soll die Holzbauweise auch optisch nach außen tragen. Mittels einer Erdwärmepumpe soll das Gebäude fast energieautark betrieben werden. Dem immer mehr auftretenden Überhitzen in den Städten soll der Einsatz von viel Grün, wie z.B. einem komplett extensiv begrünten Dach, entgegenwirken.

So sieht moderner Holzbau aus! Dieses viergeschossige Mehrfamilienhaus haben wir im Stadtoval Aalen gebaut - einem modernen Wohnquartier fußläufig zur Innenstadt. Das KfW-40-Gebäude, das von Kayser Architekten aus Aalen geplant wurde, hat sogar die Hugo-Häring-Auszeichnung vom Bund Deutscher Architekten (BDA) sowie eine Auszeichnung beim baden-württembergischen Holzbaupreis 2022 erhalten! Bei diesem Projekt stammt nicht nur der komplette Holzbau von uns, sondern auch die Holzbauplanung und die Holzfassade.
