Shore & Country Kitchens
Designed by Bob Blanco for Shore & Country Kitchens. Clean contemporary design, utilizing flat panel doors in Birds Eye Maple and Stainless Steel. The built up Black Quartz counter tops use a waterfall effect to create an eating bar. This was also used in the desk area.

The wool Oushak pattern Turkish rug contrasts the rich dark mahogany paneling & bookcases. The Zebrawood table-desk top, custom lacewood framed lounge chairs, & Corbin bronze table are complimented by Rick Grett's modern design stingray shagreen cocktail table with glass rod legs. Classic pattern silk cut velvet upholstery adds a traditional element with modern art by Paul Resika & Charles Schorre completing the mix.

As with most properties in coastal San Diego this parcel of land was expensive and this client wanted to maximize their return on investment. We did this by filling every little corner of the allowable building area (width, depth, AND height).
We designed a new two-story home that includes three bedrooms, three bathrooms, one office/ bedroom, an open concept kitchen/ dining/ living area, and my favorite part, a huge outdoor covered deck.

A simple home office looking out to the courtyard beyond. The client's own antique desk holds center stage and creates a bit of interest against the cabinetry. An antique rug in neutral tones adds softness and texture. Photo by Chris Snitko

This home office is truly functional. The custom sapele desk stores the CPU, printer (on roll-out), and offers lots of storage space. The LFZ Link Suspension pendant is a fun touch. The limestone tile floor is great for rolling around on.

The contrast of our Dijon Tumbled Limestone with the deeper green shades on the wall has worked perfectly in this customer's office.

Reclaimed ‘Dalle de Bourgogne’ pavers by Architectural Stone Decor.

The ancient Dalle de Bourgogne stone pavers have been reclaimed from different locations across the Mediterranean making them unique in their warm color mixtures and patinas and their exquisite beauty.
They have been calibrated to 5/8” in thickness to ease installation of modern use. They come in random sizes and could be installed in either a running bond formation or a random ‘Versailles’ pattern.
Their durable nature makes them an excellent choice for indoor and outdoor use. They are unaffected by extreme climate and easily withstand heavy use due to the nature of their hard molecular structure.
