As a rental unit, this apartment came with peachy yellow walls and tan carpeting. We started this project with a fresh coat of paint throughout, giving the space a more modern color palette. Next up was to define the different spaces (dining, living, and work areas) within a large open floorplan. We achieved this through the use of rugs and strategic furniture placements to keep the different spaces open but separate.

We transformed this barely used Sunroom into a fully functional home office because ...well, Covid. We opted for a dark and dramatic wall and ceiling color, BM Black Beauty, after learning about the homeowners love for all things equestrian. This moody color envelopes the space and we added texture with wood elements and brushed brass accents to shine against the black backdrop.
Progressive Design Build
Although this home features beautiful 16′ crown molded ceilings that open up the rooms and give it a feeling of grandeur, the high ceilings posed a few design challenges. In particular, with so much vertical space to fill, the high ceilings can make rooms appear much larger and spacious than they are, so the trick is to play with that perception. Our design team was up to task and did not disappoint. They welcomed the opportunity to create functional improvements to the home that kept in consideration scale and proportion.
In the home office, we designed a transom window above the glass doors in the newly formed office wall. And, in the kitchen, we added a decorative beam that spanned the width of the room below the height of the ceiling—a height between the living room windows and the transom windows.

The Good Guys
Here are some photos of a unique project we recently finished. We helped InTouch Credit Union salvage and reuse their existing flooring by creating a pattern with different colored carpet tiles and using the product that was removed during the remodel, along with some attic stock they had, to complete this project.
The existing carpet tile was discontinued and we had to make some magic happen to help the bank out. That's what Good Guys do!
