Outdoor amenities include a pool with sun shelf and spa, fire bowls spilling water into the pool, firepit, large covered lanai with summer kitchen and fireplace surrounded by roll down screens to protect guests from inclement weather, and two additional covered lanais. Directly across from the entrance is a small Kitchenette which houses a corner sink, a microwave, and a beverage center. The cabinetry by PC Homes in New Albany, IN has a painted black finish with a bronze glaze. The countertops are quartz by Cambria. The faucets and cabinetry hardware is in a brushed nickel finish to pop off the dark cabinetry. We did not want this area to feel like a Kitchen, so in lieu of upper cabinets, we did chunky floating shelves the same wood tone as the china cabinet nestled between the two bump outs. We accessorized with the homeowner’s collection of white dish ware. The homeowner found this fabulous wood cutout of the state of Kentucky at a local art gallery.

This transitional kitchen design in Farmington Hills was done as part of a home remodeling project that also included a beverage bar, laundry room, and bathroom. The kitchen remodel is incorporated a Blanco Precise Siligranite metallic gray sink in the perimeter work area with a Brizo Artesso pull down sprayer faucet and soap dispenser. A 4' Galley Workstation was installed in the large kitchen island and included a Signature Accessory Package. The bi-level island has a raised bar area for seating, an induction cooktop next to the Galley Workstation, plus an end cabinet with extra storage and a wine rack. The custom Woodmaster cabinetry sets the tone for this kitchen's style and also includes ample storage. The perimeter kitchen cabinets are maple in a Snow White finish, while the island and bar cabinets are cherry in a Peppercorn finish. Richelieu hardware accents the cabinets in a brushed nickel finish. The project also included Caesarstone quartz countertops throughout and a Zephyr hood over the island. This spacious kitchen design is ready for day-to-day living or to be the heart of every party!

Redesigning the bar improves the flow with the rest of the basement allowing for easy access in and out of the bar. This beautiful table was custom made from reclaimed wood and serves as a buffet space, game table, dining table, or a spot to sit and have a drink. Instead of having a flooring change from carpet and to tile, this wood-look luxury vinyl plank was installed. The flow is improved and the space feels larger. The main finishes are neutral with a mix of rustic, traditional, and coastal styles. The painted cabinetry contrasts nicely with the stained table and flooring. A home bar is one of the ultimate indulgences for a homeowner. By no means essential but all the more satisfying for that very reason. Whether your home bar ideas would be having the boys round to watch the big match in a pub-style atmosphere on a Saturday afternoon, ‘going uptown’ to sip an espresso martini in your home cocktail bar in the loft, or hoping to recreate the vibe of an intimate speakeasy in your basement, a style home bar is a treat that’s guaranteed to lift your spirits. A place where you are always guaranteed a seat.

How big should my home bar be?

The ideal style of your home bar will depend on your lifestyle and entertaining habits as well as the amount of available space. If big groups come round regularly then you should consider dedicating a part of your living room or basement to a larger seating area – complete with a bar table, bar stools and wet bar section – to keep everyone suitably comfortable and merry. If TV is essential, check if there is a wall nearby that’s a big enough to mount it on without restricting anyone’s view. A key feature of home bar ideas is the storage – gleaming wine racks and low-lit glass shelves. Make sure you can afford these little delights after you have built the basic structure. Alternatively, if space is limited, a freestanding home cocktail bar would give you somewhere to prepare cocktails that is out of the way – in the corner of your dining room or under the stairwell for instance. Select furniture that’s comfortable but also sparks interest, such as salvaged chairs or a second-hand leather sofa. Add a touch of glitz and glamour through your choice of glassware, drinks trolley, ice bucket, shaker and spirit bottles if you want the home cocktail bar look. Then scatter a few curios around the bar – ornaments, lamps, artwork, photos and travel mementos are great home bar ideas to get the conversation started.
