Anthology Woods
Products making their television debut in this project were Anthology Woods Northwest Blend (a naturally weathered wood installed on a section of the ceiling, unfinished) and the extremely hard & durable Left Coast White Oak, a unique species growing only in a narrow strip of Oregon and bit in California & Washington (installed for the flooring, finished with Rubio Monocoat White natural oil). The homeowners were able to easily apply the finish themselves prior to installing the floor, and the zero VOC nature of the oil insured it was safe to move right in! The White tint to the oil gives a subtle white-washed look to the floors while maintaining a natural look and a supple feel underfoot.
The couple participating in the episode loved their floor so much they decided to add more, installing it in their master bedroom, as well! The rich character of this natural Oak in a flat sawn (the old "European" way to cut Oak) wood product adds a timeless element & warmth to the feel of the space. Looking closely at the grain, you'll see cathedral patterns in many boards, along with a great mix of flat grain with rift areas as well. Finishing out the details of the room, the Bath Crashers team added natural carerra marble in the shower with tones of white & gray, and apron-front vanity sinks for extra charm.

If ever there was an ugly duckling, this master bath was it. While the master bedroom was spacious, the bath was anything but with its 30” shower, ugly cabinetry and angles everywhere. To become a beautiful swan, a bath with enlarged shower open to natural light and classic design materials that reflect the homeowners’ Parisian leanings was conceived. After all, some fairy tales do have a happy ending.
By eliminating an angled walk-in closet and relocating the commode, valuable space was freed to make an enlarged shower with telescoped walls resulting in room for toiletries hidden from view, a bench seat, and a more gracious opening into the bath from the bedroom. Also key was the decision for a single vanity thereby allowing for two small closets for linens and clothing. A lovely palette of white, black, and yellow keep things airy and refined. Charming details in the wainscot, crown molding, and six-panel doors as well as cabinet hardware, Laurent door style and styled vanity feet continue the theme. Custom glass shower walls permit the bather to bask in natural light and feel less closed in; and beautiful carrera marble with black detailing are the perfect foil to the polished nickel fixtures in this luxurious master bath.

This couple had a small single vanity master bathroom with a small shower. They had an underutilized changing area and storage space outside their existing master bathroom.
We proposed to them to combine the two spaces and give them a master ensuite that most people wish they had the space for. We gave them an enormous shower with a seat, handheld, and stationary head. The travertine walls and floor provide the natural luxurious feel the homeowners were hoping for. The darker taupe wall cover provided contrast against the light tile colors and complemented the color tones running through the River Bordeaux Granite. Let's not forget that by relocating the sinks to the outside wall, we were able to give these homeowner'ts his/her vanities with a beautiful window seat in between. Each item in this bathroom was carefully selected to complement each other and give these homeowner's a beautiful bathroom that they can enjoy for many years to come.

Hooks and soaps are within reach- this european tub is made of a limestone resin composite which never feels cold to the touch and is very easy to maintain.

Paul Zimmerman photo. This well - traveled client has spent time in Africa and wanted to bring that flavor to her hall bath!
The multi-colored natural stone allowed her to mix wood with wall colors and bronze fixtures for a wonderful native feel.
