This Naperville, IL kitchen needed to be elevated to the level of the rest of the lovely traditional home. A formal traditional door style was chosen, with mitered corners and a double-bead detail. The cherry has a light stain, to show off the beautiful variations of the wood. The formal feeling of the space is emphasized with the decorative panels throughout, as well as the elaborate stacked crown molding with a dentil insert, and the decorative baseboard molding.
The traditional feel is continued by using an ogee edge on the granite countertops, and with the style of the faucet, light fixture and cabinet pulls. There are modern touches too.
